Mi daya ja yin. It's basically for MBBS aspirants. The default cut-off is 50. But as you, they cut medical students anyhow and dump them to another course. That's just it.

I'm new on this thread. I'm also a medical aspirant for ui.

I contacted the admission officer today. I'm a MBBS aspirant. Although i had 285 in my utme and had 6 distinctions & 3 credits, he told me to prepare painstakingly for the p.utme. He told me i must score 85% in my p.utme. He also emphasized that p.utme is the 1st criterion for admission this yr which means utme score will only serve as either a promoter or inhibitor.
He also said that registration for p.utme will start on the 21st of this month. That means p.utme may take place in July.
So, for both ppt and cbt candidates, 4get ur utme score for now. Read as if you won't read again. Prove to UI that jamb played with ur utme score. By God's grace, we shall all rejoice in the end.

By the way, what is the duration for the 100 questions? 1hr, 90min or 2hrs?

For those saying that the marks of cbt candidates were not tampered with are wrong. Many ppl i know can swear that one or more subjects were tampered with (mine included). Many had the lowest score in their best subjects and the highest in their presumed difficult subject. Up till now, i'm still unaware of any cbt candidate that scored 300 and above. It's not that there are no candidates that scored that high but i can say categorically that Jamb tampered with marks, it's just that to a few, it was beneficial, to many, it was detrimental and to others, it had little or no effect. Seeing how jamb marked down the ppt made every cbt candidates in their right frame of mind to work harder.Luck and prayer also plays a part. So, those saying the cbt's were favoured are wrong.

I wrote mine on the 21st, Monday but had to wait till Saturday before i eventually saw it online. While i believe they tampered with my score cause i expected more and also, their is no way i scored 61 in Biology (my best subject), i'm still glad at my score.

Talking about the English aspect of p.utme, does it always include oral English? If yes, which aspect? Is it rhymes,stress, vowel or consonant sounds or is it random? I'll appreciate any help on the above so I can know how to go about it.

As long as it does not exceed our current syllabus, it would be like preparing for jamb all over again, BUT, under a fair atmosphere where u get what u deserve and not where ur hardwork is wasted. Wish everybody luck.

sucess b: PROBLEMS WITH CB TESTING

Many students who wrote the CB testing are all over the country complaining
however the writer is also a victim he wrote his 20th may 2013 at university of Agric Makurdi
and is over one week now no result when i check online what i see is NO RESULT YET am so worried

I'm not so sure but someone had the same problem today. They were going to visit Jamb office on Monday with the sms as evidence cause d guy had all 4 subjects in d sms but only 3 were released online. Hope that helps a little.

Yeah. Phy was my highest score despite my slight phobia for it. Going for MBBS and yes, i'm grateful 2 God.

Yeah. you can imagine how ecstatic i am right now. After waiting since Monday. Although i must confess, they definitely tampered with my score. Can you imagine scoring 61 in Biology, my best subject. Anyway, i am still satisfied. I wish everybody success.
