u can use droid VPN without root just connect using UDP port 500 then set ur APN to blackberry.net but u ar limited to 100mb for 1 day

rooting gives u privileges u won't normally have with or phone Google it for more info

Osyxcel: 1. Turn on data on Ur phone.

2. Turn on 3G

2. Switch on WiFi hotspot on Ur phone, and switch on WiFi on Ur laptop.

3. Connect your Laptop to your phone.

4. If it asks for password, go to your phone and pull down the notification bar, you'll see WiFi hotspot settings, go to password and input desired password.

5. Enter the same password on Ur Laptop. If it connects, you're good to go.
