CrimeCourt Sentences Zakaria Garba To Death By Hanging by Pakute(op): 7:18pm
• The AGF, Lateef Fagbemi, a SAN, who led the federal government’s team of lawyer for the prosecution, said the government was determined to stamp out terrorism and related activities from the country.

The Federal High Court in Abuja , on Friday, sentenced a 37-year-old man, Zakaria Garba, to death by hanging over his involvement in the 2014 bombing at the major motor park in Nyanya, one of the bustling, highly populated communities on the border between Abuja, the Nigerian capital city, and the neighbouring Nasarawa State.

No fewer than 70 people were killed, while several others sustained varying degrees of injuries in the devastating bombing.

Trial judge james Omotsoho, in his judgement delivered during the just-concluded Abuja mass trial of suspected terrorists, also imposed a life imprisonment on Mr Garba one of the five counts preferred against him.

The defendant was convicted by Mr Omotosho after pleading guilty to all five counts brought against him by the federal government.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the judgement was delivered on Tuesday in the case marked FHC/KNJ/CR/985/2026.

The case was filed by the office of the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice.

The judge sentenced Mr Garba to a 35-year jail term each on counts one and two, a life imprisonment on count three, a death sentence on counts four and five.

“May God have mercy on you,” the judge said, the judge said to the convict after pronouncing the death sentence.

NAN reports that prosecution alleged in count three, which attracted a life imprisonment, Mr Garba of Jambutu Park, Jimeta Local Government Area of Adamawa, and others now at large, committed the alleged offences in 2014 at the Nyanya Motor Park, FCT Abuja.

They were said to have also knowingly conspired among themselves “to commit acts of terrorism by planning and coordinating the bombing of Nyanya Motor Park, Abuja through the use of explosives devices, which bombing resulted in the death of over 70 persons and injured several others.”

The offence is punishable under Section 17 of the Terrorism Prevention (Amendment) Act 2013 and punishable under same Section of the Act.

In count four, which also attracted capital punishment, the terrorist, who stated in his confessional statement that he used to sell tea and bread, with others now at large, was accused of “knowingly and intentionally” caused the detonation of explosives devices at Nyanya Motor Park with intent to cause death and serious bodily harm to members of the public, which act resulted in over 70 (Seventy) persons’ death and injuries to several others.”

The offence is punishable under Section 1(3) of the Terrorism Prevention (Amendment) Act 2013.

Also, in count five, which attracted death penalty, the convict and others now at large were said to have, sometime in 2014 while at the Nyanya Motor Park, FCT Abuja, “participated in an act of terrorism which caused the death of over 70 (Seventy) persons by detonating explosives.”

According to the charge, you thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 1(3) of the Terrorism Prevention (Amendment) Act 2013.

OTHER TERRORISTS JAILED

Mr Omotosho also handed down various prison terms to some other terrorists who pleaded guilty to the separate terrorism charges filed against them.

Ali Mohammed, in case marked number: FHC/KNJ/CR/1020/2026, was sentenced to a 25-year jail term on count one and 15-year imprisonment on count two.

Isa Saleh was sentenced to a 20-year imprisonment in on one sole charge marked: FHC/KNJ/CR/973/2026.

Tujan Mohammed, in a case marked: FHC/KNJ/CR/954/2026, also bagged a 20-year jail term in the one count preferred against him by the federal Government.

For Salisu Bala, the judge convicted and sentenced him to a 20-year imprisonment in count two but discharged and acquitted him in counts one and three in the charge marked: FHC/KNJ/CR/963/2026.

NAN reports that during this just concluded round of mass trial took place in the Federal High Court in Abuja, while the previous editions held at the military base in Kainji, Niger State, which holds terrorism suspects from different parts of the country.

The AGF, Lateef Fagbemi, a SAN, who led the federal government’s team of lawyer for the prosecution, said the government was determined to stamp out terrorism and related activities from the country.

”We will fight with every inch of our blood to ensure that we make Nigeria a safe haven for everybody.

Christianity EtcRe: Addressing Common Misconceptions Re: The Church and Social Responsibility by SeraphEl(op): 6:40pm
Social Principles and Teachings of Scripture. A “Whole Gospel” IS a “Social” Gospel.

Addressing Common Misconceptions re: The Church and Social Responsibility

#1 “Social concern is modern/political”: Social concern is not a modern or political add-on; it is woven into covenant faithfulness from Torah to the Prophets to Yeshua, where love of YHVH is inseparable from justice, mercy and care for the vulnerable (Isaiah 58; Amos 5; Matthew 23:23).

#2 “Personal salvation makes social action optional” : Personal salvation does not replace social action but creates a people who live differently. Salvation creates a people who live a new social reality (Acts 2–4; Ephesians 2). Faith without works is dead (james 2).

#3 “Justice is secular ideology” : biblical justice is not a secular ideology; it flows from YHVH’s own character, defending the poor, restraining power, and restoring right relationships. Biblical justice is God-centered: it protects the vulnerable, insists on honesty, restrains power, heals relationships, and anticipates God’s kingdom.

Addressing Common Questions re: The Church and Social Responsibility

Q1: Are Jubilee and sabbatical laws only for ancient Israel? They are covenant specific to Israel’s land scheme, but they reveal transcendent principles: periodic relief, anti-monopoly resets, and humanizing limits. The church wisely translates these into contemporary practices of mercy and fairness.

Q2: Isn’t charity enough without structural change? Torah integrates both: personal generosity and structural provisions (gleaning, tithes, debt release). Loving one’s neighbor requires designing systems that do not produce chronic injustice.

Q3: Does “no interest” ban all lending returns? Exodus 22:25 and Deut 23:19–20 target exploitative interest on survival loans among kin. The ethical center is mercy over profit wherever someone’s basic life is at stake.

Christianity EtcRe: Is Christianity The True Religion? Debate by lawani(m): 2:06pm
martinskelly:
Oga Seun, let's take you and your friends as an example; no matter how closely and truthful your friends are to you none can give same account about your life, they can only give what they perceived, see, feel and worked with... so no two persons can give account of a person accurately without emotionally or otherwise legally adding their own assumptions or specificity even though what they all are saying are just witnesses of attachment which could or can be true in each beholders.

Thanks and God bless.

Modified: This what true religion says according to james 1:27;

27. Pure religion and undefiled before God the father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

So Oga Seun, instead of trying to debate spiritual matters since you know there is God, just go ahead and seek Him and you shall find Him.
Easy to see that any group describing God as obtainable in holy books were not sent by God. God isn't a mad man burning people for unbelief and idolatry and it is strange many people are comfortable to say he is and they even hate those who disagree with them
Christianity EtcRe: Is Christianity The True Religion? Debate by martinskelly(m): 12:05pm
Seun:
The best evidence that Christianity is not true is the account of the resurrection of Jesus in the gospels. The accounts in Mathew, Mark, Luke and John are contradictory on basic facts. There is no way to construct a coherent account of the resurrection of Jesus that does't contradict one or more of the biblical accounts. See the contradictions below:

Who went to the tomb?
John: Mary Magdalene alone.
Matthew: Mary Magdalene and "the other Mary."
Mark: Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of james, and Salome.
Luke: Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of james, and "other women."

Who was at the tomb when they arrived?
Matthew: One angel sitting on the stone outside.
Mark: One young man sitting inside on the right.
Luke: Two men in dazzling clothes standing inside.
John: Two angels sitting inside (but seen later, after Peter and John visit).

What did the women do afterward?
Mark: They fled and said nothing to anyone because they were afraid.
Matthew & Luke: They ran with joy to tell the disciples.

Where did Jesus first appear to the disciples?
Matthew & Mark: The disciples are told to go to Galilee, where they will see him.
Luke & John: Jesus appears to them immediately in Jerusalem.

If the supposed eye-witnesses of the most important event in Christianity couldn't agree on basic facts, their religion can't be true. Right?
Oga Seun, let's take you and your friends as an example; no matter how closely and truthful your friends are to you none can give same account about your life, they can only give what they perceived, see, feel and worked with... so no two persons can give account of a person accurately without emotionally or otherwise legally adding their own assumptions or specificity even though what they all are saying are just witnesses of attachment which could or can be true in each beholders.

2 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,

2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

Use your Christian faith to pray against the spirit of confusion!
MrPresident1:
They are at polar opposites and are not the same thing

The Christian faith is the attitude of Christ in all things. The people were first called Christians in Antioch because they were behaving like Christ, they were Christlike and godly. They had the attitude behaviour and character of Christ

Acts 11:25-27
King james Version
25 Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, for to seek Saul:
26 And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.
27 And in these days came prophets from Jerusalem unto Antioch.
Christianity EtcRe: The Christian Faith Is Different From Christianity by MrPresident1(op): 8:24am
Let there be no confusion about this

Christianity: the religion of Rome. Rome will practise and prosper in its Christianity until it's time is over. There is not one single mention of Christianity in the Bible, by sleight, somever deceitful and satanic people added -City to Christian and boom, they created a new religion. Did Jesus say that he has created a religion called Christianity for us? Did Paul say of, Or Peter, or james or John?

The Christian faith: this is the faith of Jesus Christ and his apostles and all who believe in him

You think that because you are attending all these mushroom Pentecostal churches with their mega jet setting pastors and so therefore because of this you are a Christian? No no no. Oyedepo church alone is enough to generate enough righteousness to activate a critical mass who can now go into the world to start a chain reaction of righteousness all over the nation, not to talk of adding Oyakilome church, and join them with Dunamis pastor own, and Ashimolowo church etc

If Adeboye church alone, Redeem, can start a revolution of righteousness, it is enough. They can generate all the energy that can reorder and reorient the country into righteousness

The Pentecostal genre of Christianity is the worst thing to happen to religion in Nigeria.

Technology MarketRe: Tired Of Ajo Wahala? Meet Thriftvault, The App That Keeps Your Esusu Honest by internetpo(m): 3:16pm On Jun 19
Great app. This is all I need for my book launch group. I
have some feedbacks though.

There's no link on the website for downloading the app. Had to go to play store to download..

Can you make it free for us to test run for a month or week before payment.
Finally can one change contribution period (eg from a week to monthly payment) or add new members within a single group cycle?

jaybee3:
Let's be honest with ourselves for a moment.
We all love ajo. Esusu. Susu. Adashe. Whatever your side of the country calls it, that monthly contribution has built more shops, paid more school fees, and bought more plots of land than most bank loans ever will.
But you know wetin we no dey talk about? The wahala.

The coordinator who keeps the records "for safe keeping" inside one exercise book that only she can read. The member who swears on everything that he paid last month (he did not). The endless WhatsApp group of "Please who has paid? Send proof." And the small voice in the back of your mind every single cycle: "I hope this money no go enter voicemail."
Trust is beautiful. But trust plus proper record-keeping? That one is unbeatable. That's why I built ThriftVault.

ThriftVault is a mobile app that handles the boring-but-important part of running a thrift group, so the contributions, the confirmations, the payout order, and the "who has paid and who is forming james Bond" all live in one clean place that everybody can see. No more arguments. No more mystery exercise book. No more chasing people one by one.
To be clear, ThriftVault does not hold your money. It is your group's record keeper, referee, and memory, all in one. Your money moves the way your group already trusts. ThriftVault just makes sure nobody can rewrite history.

A few things it does:

✅ Tracks every contribution and confirms payments
✅ Manages who joins, who pays, and whose turn it is to collect
✅ Keeps the whole group on the same page, in real time
✅ Sends reminders so "I forgot" stops being a valid excuse

I'd rather show you than tell you. Watch this:

If your group has ever had "that one cycle" that nearly ended friendships, this is for you.
Download it and take it for a spin:

Android (Play Store): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.thriftvault.mobile

iPhone (App Store): https://apps.apple.com/app/id6769897907

Website: https://thriftvault.app

Try it with your group and tell me what you think. I built this to solve a real Naija problem, so I genuinely want your honest feedback, the good, the bad, and the "Oga why this button dey here." Drop your thoughts below.

*Answers to some of the questions thus far:*

*Does ThriftVault hold my money?*

No. This is the most important thing to understand. ThriftVault does not collect, hold, or move your contributions. Your money moves exactly the way your group already does it, directly between members and the coordinator. ThriftVault is the record keeper: it tracks who paid, confirms payments, and shows whose turn it is to collect. Think of it as the exercise book and the referee, not the bank.

*So is it CBN approved? Are you holding funds?*

Because we don't hold or move funds, ThriftVault is not a deposit-taking or money-transfer service. It's a coordination and record-keeping tool. There's no pot of your money sitting with us for anyone to run away with, the money never touches us in the first place.

*What's the interest rate?*

There isn't one, and that's by design. ThriftVault is not a savings platform like Piggyvest or Cowrywise where you deposit money to earn interest. It's a different thing entirely: it's for groups already running ajo/esusu/susu who want to do it without the record-keeping wahala. If you want interest on idle savings, those apps are great at that. If you're running a thrift group and tired of arguments over who paid, that's what ThriftVault is for. Different problems.

*"It's almost the same as normal ajo, what if the record keeper absconds?"*

Fair question, and here's the key difference: in normal ajo, one person holds the exercise book and only they know the true record, that's exactly the risk. With ThriftVault, every member sees the same records in real time on their own phone. No single person can quietly rewrite history or hide a payment. It doesn't replace trust; it makes the trust verifiable, so the records aren't controlled by one person anymore.

Christianity EtcThe Four Spiritual Actions by Captain9ja(op): 2:25pm On Jun 19
The Four Spiritual Actions

> “For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.”
james 3:2
Many mistakes and failures in life are connected to offences in words.
Speaking right leads to living right.
The direction of a man’s life is greatly influenced by the words he consistently speaks.
> “Death and life are in the power of the tongue…”
— Proverbs 18:21

Central To Our Living Is The Truth

Who Is The Truth?

> “I am the way, the truth, and the life…”
— John 14:6
Jesus Christ Himself is the embodiment of Truth.
Therefore, the believer’s victory is found in living, speaking, and walking in Christ.
> “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world…”
— 1 John 5:4–5

What Is The Truth?

> “To this end was I born… that I should bear witness unto the truth.”
— John 18:37–38

Truth is:
All that God represents

All that Christ represents and has accomplished in the finished work through his death and resurrection.

All that the New Creation is and possesses in Christ

Truth is the living Word of God.
> “The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”
— John 6:63
> “For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.”
— 2 Corinthians 13:8

The Four Spiritual Actions

1. Worship The Father Based On The Truth
> “God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.”
— John 4:24
True worship is based on who God is, not merely on what He has done.

We worship Him because: He is Holy, He is Father, He is Truth, He is Life, He is Love

Worship aligns our hearts with divine realities and opens our spirits to the operation of truth.
> “Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless His holy name.”
— Psalm 103:1

2. Meditate On and Interact With The Truth
> “Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them…”
— 1 Timothy 4:15
> “Be still, and know that I am God…”
— Psalm 46:10

Meditation is spiritual interaction with truth until it becomes living reality within you.
The believer must consistently think upon truth.
> “Whatsoever things are true… honest… just… pure… think on these things.”
— Philippians 4:8

Meditation: Renews the mind, Builds conviction, Strengthens faith, Establishes inner transformation, and generates divine revelation knowledge.

> “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night…”
— Joshua 1:8

3. Speak The Truth To Yourself Daily
> “Speaking the truth in love, may grow up into Him in all things…”
— Ephesians 4:15

The believer must daily declare who God says he is in Christ.

Examples:

“I am born of God.” — John 1:13

“I am a new creature.” — 2 Corinthians 5:17

“I am the righteousness of God in Christ.” — 2 Corinthians 5:21

“I am a chosen generation and royal priesthood.” — 1 Peter 2:9

“I am no longer a servant but a son.” — Galatians 4:7

Consistent confession of truth: Builds spiritual consciousness, Defeats condemnation, Produces confidence in God, Aligns the soul with divine identity
> “Let the weak say, I am strong.”
— Joel 3:10

4. Speak Truth To Every Situation Around You Daily
> “We believe, and therefore speak…”
— 2 Corinthians 4:13
> “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God…”
— Hebrews 11:3

The believer is called to speak God’s truth over circumstances, challenges, and situations.

Examples:

“In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” — John 16:33

“Greater is He that is in me, than he that is in the world.” — 1 John 4:4

“I can do all things through Christ…” — Philippians 4:13

“My God shall supply all my need…” — Philippians 4:19

Speaking truth to situations: Establishes divine authority, Changes atmospheres, Brings heaven’s reality into earthly situations
> “Whosoever shall say unto this mountain… and shall not doubt in his heart… he shall have whatsoever he saith.”
— Mark 11:23

Conclusion
The power of spoken truth is activated through these four spiritual actions:

1. Worshipping the Father in truth
2. Meditating on the truth
3. Speaking truth to yourself
4. Speaking truth to situations around you

As God's children continually practice these spiritual actions, truth moves from mere knowledge into manifestation and living experience.

PoliticsIPOB Suspends Nnamdi Kanu Over 'unguarded Utterances' by DiamondsAreFore(op): 11:48am On Jun 19
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) says it has indefinitely suspended its leader Nnamdi Kanu.

The proscribed group added that Kanu has also been delisted as director of Radio Biafra in a bid to reposition the organisation and strengthen its operations.

The decision was contained in a statement issued on Thursday by Chikadibia Edoziem, head of the directorate of state (DOS), IPOB’s highest decision-making body.

The group said IPOB was established as a self-determination movement “formed and nurtured by Biafrans in the diaspora”, and not by any individual, for the restoration of a sovereign Biafra.

It said no individual has the authority to dissolve its central leadership structure.

Edoziem said the decision to suspend Kanu was reached at a DOS meeting on June 17 after reviewing an intelligence report from “IPOB’s M-Branch” about a meeting involving Kanu and officers of the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Nigerian Intelligence Agency (NIA) in Sokoto prison.

He said the DOS noted that Kanu’s movements and communications are monitored by the DSS, and that some prison communications have led to arrests and deaths of IPOB members.

Edoziem noted that there are plans to form a new militia “through which a new round of violence will be instigated and unleashed in Biafraland” and to weaken and eventually dissolve the IPOB movement by targeting its leadership structure.

Edoziem added that the suspension is also intended to “prevent those individuals or group of individuals who hitherto are minded to commit crime in Biafraland, engage in criminal activities or carry out any actions whatsoever supposedly on the authority of the suspended office of the leader”.

He said the suspension will “prevent unchecked actions, reckless assumption of authority and unguarded utterances from resulting in the reckless arrests, torture and needless death of Biafran youths in Biafraland”.

According to the statement, the move will also “halt and checkmate individuals and groups not affiliated with IPOB, who claim to derive legitimacy to carry out actions that conflict with IPOB’s mission statement, from the existence of the now suspended office of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra”.

“Any such crime or criminal activity taken in the name of the suspended office of the leader shall not be attributed to IPOB but solely to the person or persons who may have instigated them,” the statement reads.

“IPOB shall hence forward not be held accountable for actions of individuals or group of Individuals not holding any active position within IPOB or for actions of persons not authorized by the Directorate of State to act on behalf of the Indigenous People of Biafra Self-Determination movement.”

NNAMDI KANU’S ORDEAL

In November 2025, james Omotosho, a judge at the federal high court in Abuja, sentenced Kanu to life imprisonment for terrorism charges.

Kanu, founder of IPOB, was handed life imprisonment for counts one, four, five and six of a seven-count charge.

The IPOB leader got 20 years and five years’ imprisonment on counts three and seven, respectively.

During the court proceedings, a DSS officer claimed that the IPOB leader admitted during interrogation to inciting Nigerians to launch attacks on police officers.

Another DSS officer had linked the violence that trailed the #EndSARS protest to “inciting comments from Kanu”.

Kanu has appealed his terrorism conviction.

PoliticsHow Police Use IPOB Narrative To Bury Unsolved Killing, Cover Up Wrongful Arrest by attackgat(op): 7:26am On Jun 19
In the last five years, a troubling pattern has emerged across Nigeria's South-East. Violent crimes, political assassinations, communal killings, and controversial arrests are frequently and swiftly linked by security agencies to the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its armed wing, the Eastern Security Network (ESN), often before detailed investigations are concluded.

However, interviews with families of victims, retired police officers, human rights advocates, lawyers, and examination of police documents reveal a deeper crisis inside Nigeria's criminal justice system. Hurried narratives, weak investigations, political pressure, and alleged police misconduct have combined to obscure accountability in some of the region's most controversial killings.

At the centre of this investigation is the assassination of Labour Party senatorial candidate for Enugu East, Chief Oyibo Chukwu. His murder, days before the 2023 general election, shocked the country. More than three years later, his family insists justice has been buried under what they describe as a deliberate police cover-up and politically motivated deflection.

The Killing That Changed Enugu's Political Atmosphere

On the night of February 22, 2023, barely 48 hours before Nigeria's presidential and National Assembly elections, gunmen ambushed and killed Oyibo Chukwu at Amechi Awkunanaw in Enugu South Local Government Area. The assailants shot him alongside his aides and set their vehicle ablaze.

The late politician, a former Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Oji River Branch, was the Labour Party candidate for the Enugu East Senatorial District and was widely considered a strong challenger to former Enugu governor and then-senator, Chimaroke Nnamani. The murder sent shockwaves through the state.

At the time, Labour Party leaders alleged that political opponents threatened by the party's growing popularity were behind coordinated attacks targeting opposition figures. Then-Labour Party governorship candidate in Enugu State, Chijioke Edeoga, said party members had become targets of systematic violence.

But within hours of the attack, the Enugu State Police Command publicly linked the killing to "IPOB/ESN renegades."

In a statement, the police spokesperson, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, said preliminary investigation showed that armed hoodlums operating in tricycles and Hilux vehicles attacked political targets, claiming the assailants were "subversive criminal elements suspected to be IPOB/ESN renegades."

No evidence was publicly presented at the time.

For the Chukwu family, that immediate attribution remains one of the most disturbing aspects of the case.

"The Government Knows What Happened," Family Speaks

Speaking in an interview with SaharaReporters, the younger brother of the late Oyibo Chukwu, Chief Lucky Chukwu, accused the police of abandoning genuine investigation while shielding powerful interests.

Nothing is going on," he said. "It is the same security agencies that we have, especially the police."

He alleged that security deployment around the area where his brother was killed was mysteriously withdrawn shortly before the attack.

"How can you withdraw a combined team of soldiers and mobile policemen guarding that axis a day before they killed him?" he asked. "It had never happened before."

Lucky also noted that the governor did not issue a statement condemning the killing, but when another politician, Dons Udeh, was killed, he rushed to the family and gave them ₦5 million.

The family believes the case was deliberately redirected toward IPOB to avoid scrutiny of possible political motives.

"They know what happened to my elder brother," Lucky insisted. "We are still pursuing justice, and we have involved the DSS so that the investigation can be clinical."

Late Udeh

The controversy surrounding Oyibo Chukwu's murder is not isolated. A review of several criminal cases across the South-East reveals repeated allegations that police authorities invoke IPOB/ESN narratives prematurely, sometimes in circumstances where later evidence appears inconsistent with the original claims.

One such case involved Chief Dons Udeh, a former governorship aspirant in Enugu State. Udeh was abducted in April 2023 and later found dead near 9th Mile area of Enugu. His mobile phone was reportedly discovered in front of the Ogui Police Station. Despite public outrage and protests demanding justice, the case faded without resolution.

Similarly, in January 2022, gunmen invaded a political meeting in Obeagu Awkunanaw and killed two APC chieftains, including the party's state youth leader, Kelvin Ezeoha. His widow, Mrs. Chidimma, in an interview, stated that after four years and five months, her husband's killers have not been brought to justice. She said she was convinced his killing was politically motivated.

Late Ezeoha

She narrated how one Mike Ogbonna, a factional local government chairman of APC in Enugu South council area, had repeatedly called her husband to come to their meeting venue on that fateful day. According to the 38-year-old widow and mother of four, her late husband was preparing to attend a family meeting when Ogbonna came to their house with two other persons.

They engaged him in a lengthy discussion before they left. No arrests or successful prosecutions followed.

In July 2021, Professor Samuel Ndubisi, Director General of the Science Equipment Development Institute (SEDI), was assassinated alongside his police orderly along Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway. Again, no known resolution emerged publicly.

Late Prof Ndubisi

Families of victims and rights advocates say these unresolved cases have deepened public distrust in law enforcement.

Mr. Christian Chukwu, 64, the traditional Prime Minister of Ugboka in Nkanu East LGA, was kidnapped from his house on November 19, 2021. Despite the payment of a N4.5 million ransom, his whereabouts have remained a mystery. His wife, Mrs. Ukamaka Chukwu, told Saharareporters that life has been hellish since the incident. She narrated how six armed men invaded their house, demanded his car key, and pushed him inside the car before zooming off. The kidnappers demanded N50 million, later reducing it to N4.5 million. She raised the money, but after a harrowing experience involving changing drop-off locations, a masked man collected the ransom and asked her to leave. Her husband was never released.

His son, Chukwu james, revealed that he had reported to the police, but the operatives failed to act promptly, allowing the kidnappers to escape.

The family of His Royal Highness, Igwe Donald Nwochi of Etiti-Ozalla Autonomous in Nkanu West LGA, has also not located their breadwinner since December 24, 2021, when he was abducted by unknown men in police uniform from his hotel. The family paid a N2.5 million ransom, yet his whereabouts remain unknown. His son, Prince Chisom Nwochi, said they reported the incident to various police divisions and commands, but the authorities appeared unconcerned and no result has been achieved.

Police Documents Raise Questions

Documents obtained by SaharaReporters further expose how criminal allegations in the South-East are sometimes downgraded or reframed after prolonged investigations. One such document is a confidential police investigation report issued by the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Unit of the Force Criminal Investigation Department, Abuja, dated February 17, 2026.

The report concerned allegations of promoting communal war, unlawful possession of firearms, robbery, and threats to life involving parties from the Edem Nru community in Nsukka LGA.

After months of investigation, the police concluded that the matter was merely a civil land dispute already before the High Court. The report stated that the complainants failed to establish criminal allegations. This illustrates concerns that severe criminal allegations are often invoked in local disputes, only for investigations to collapse later.

"Police Now Hide Everything Under IPOB" - Retired CSP

A retired Chief Superintendent of Police and lawyer, Chidi Ezenwa, told SaharaReporters that security agencies increasingly use IPOB narratives as shortcuts for weak investigations.

"When a police force becomes more political than practical, they move away from their core values," he said. "In the course of investigating crimes, almost every violent incident became attributed to IPOB activities."

According to him, many politically motivated killings and communal crimes had no logical connection to separatist agitation.

"Oyibo Chukwu's case, if properly investigated, would likely trace back to political and community interests," he argued. "Dons Udeh also had political disputes. IPOB had no known issue with these individuals."

Ezenwa said genuine criminal investigations require evidence-based policing rather than broad security labels.

He criticised deployment strategies in which officers unfamiliar with local languages and cultural dynamics are assigned to volatile regions.

"Policing is local," he explained. "You need officers who understand the terrain, culture, and people. Otherwise, they misread conflicts and rely on lazy narratives."

Human Rights Groups Document Disturbing Trends

Human rights lawyer and Executive Director of the Rule of Law and Accountability Advocacy Centre (RULAAC), Okechukwu Nwanguma, said the misuse of IPOB narratives has become deeply concerning. He cited multiple cases documented by his organisation.

In the case of Onuoha Johnbosco, he was arrested openly at his printing shop in Imo State by operatives posing as customers. Police allegedly denied holding him before later claiming he died during a gun battle and branding him an IPOB operative. Family members and eyewitnesses dispute that narrative.

In the case of Thaddeus Ojokoh, he was publicly paraded as one of the gunmen responsible for attacks on police in Okpala, Imo State. But later evidence allegedly showed he had already been in police custody at the time of the attack. After public pressure, police quietly charged him in court and later abandoned the case.

Japheth Njoku was arrested and detained at the notorious Tiger Base facility in Imo State. Police later claimed he died from illness. The family denied access to him while extortion allegedly continued. A coroner ordered an autopsy, but police failed to produce the body.

Political Violence Or Separatist Violence?

Security experts warned that collapsing every violent incident into IPOB narratives risks obscuring the complex realities of crime in the South-East. Many killings involve political rivalries, cult violence, communal disputes, land conflicts, and organised criminal networks. But the IPOB label has become a convenient catch-all explanation.

Retired CSP Ezenwa explained, "Agitation is agitation; crime is crime. Even if agitators commit crimes, separate the actual offence from the political narrative and investigate properly."

He argued that indiscriminate use of IPOB labels has also allowed criminal actors to exploit confusion, as criminals hide under that umbrella to commit offences.

The Cost Of Weak Investigations

Legal practitioners say weak investigations undermine both justice and security. They warn that weak, lazy, and highly compromised police investigations are systematically undermining national security, subverting the rule of law, and destroying innocent lives.

An Enugu-based legal practitioner, Ede Gerald Moses, pointed out that politically sensitive cases suffer from "investigative contamination," where a biased mindset among investigators dooms a case from its inception. He warned that once investigators adopt a preferred narrative too early, they stop looking objectively at motives, suspects, and forensic evidence.

The President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Chief Afam Osigwe (SAN), stated that blaming citizens for crimes without irrefutable facts constitutes a grave abuse of due process. He strongly condemned the police tactic of fabricating allegations out of institutional laziness or prejudice.

"The police should not hide under any prevalent sentiment... to justify unlawful detention of persons," Osigwe insisted.

Professor Gab Agu Gab, a senior law lecturer at ESUT, highlighted societal constraints, noting that ordinary residents are often too terrified to volunteer vital eyewitness testimony to the police due to fear of violent retaliation. He also pointed to internal institutional corruption, noting that local police divisions are routinely compromised by their relationships
with shady "police informants."

He recommended that high-profile investigations be escalated to the office of the Inspector General of Police in Abuja.

In a passionate reflection, a former Attorney General of Imo State, Professor Francis Idike (SAN), regretted the systemic criminalization of the Igbo people under the guise of state security operations. He argued that innocent youths are regularly murdered or kept in unauthorized custody without genuine investigation.

"It is just a question of give a dog a bad name to hang it," Idike lamented, defending IPOB against the blanket "terrorist" classification. He turned his fury on South-East political leaders, describing them as "toothless bulldogs"
who remain silent in the face of state-sanctioned abuses.

Families Still Waiting For Justice

For families of victims like Oyibo Chukwu, the unresolved questions remain deeply painful. An associate of the late politician, Barr. Festus Ede, queried why previous assassination attempts were ignored, why security was withdrawn, and why investigations stalled after IPOB narratives emerged. Three years later, there are still no public answers.

Meanwhile, the political atmosphere in the South-East remains tense, with unresolved assassinations, custodial deaths, and allegations of police misconduct continuing to fuel distrust.

As calls for police reform grow louder, experts insist that restoring public confidence will require professional investigations, transparent accountability, and a willingness to separate political narratives from criminal evidence.

Efforts by SaharaReporters to reach the Nigeria Police Force spokesperson, Anthony Okon Placid, for comments were unsuccessful as he did not respond to calls or a message sent to his mobile phone.

SportsHow Al Makes Underage Sports Bettors Face Mental Health Crisis In Nigeria by tyokunbo(op): 4:58am On Jun 19
https://www.thecable.ng/from-algorithms-to-addiction-ai-fuelling-underage-sports-betting-nigeria/

The story was supported by Pulitzer Center

For a long time, living in Osun State of Nigeria, Samuel Adegoke grew up like other young men, obedient, law-abiding and respectful. At 18, when he gained admission to Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, a friend introduced him to sports betting.

Sports betting, Adegoke’s friend told him, was an Artificial Intelligence (Al)-powered activity that guaranteed millions of naira jackpots from small stakes. All Adegoke needed to do was to place money according to predictions by Al-models that continuously analysed vast datasets for accurate win probabilities for stakers.

One morning in his second year in school, just before the first semester examinations, an Al-powered sports betting promotion came up, one promising a mouth-watering bonus. Adegoke used his school fees to bet and lost everything.

Adegoke could have been taken in, because unlike in the past, sport betting companies had a sophisticated plan on a 24/7 basis, turning bettors into addicts through social media algorithms and exploiting the Al hype by promoting themselves as using Al for more accurate, adaptive, and specific forecasts. They claimed that their Al-generated information about players’ output, injuries, weather and past team performances within microseconds could help stakers win through on-the-spot predictions.

Also, the Al-powered dashboards of sport betting companies made their interfaces easy to navigate, allowing people to lose money in a fast and seamless manner, said David Ebriku, a lawyer handling cases for underaged sports bettors. All a young bettor had to do was go to their website on mobile phone, make selections based on Al-generated predictions, click the bet button, copy the booking number, click the ‘Book a Bet’ icon from the top menu, paste the booking number then make payments online through their bank accounts.

“There were virtual betting games too,” Israel Jacob, Adegoke’s friend, said. “People bet on Al-powered games.”

When people like Adegoke lost money, it fostered the suspicion that sport betting companies typically operated on a ‘house always wins’ rule. Though these companies offered Al-powered tools and predictions, they always won, and the onus of managing losses fell on bettors, with little or no financial compensations.

The same thing happened in the case with Samuel Adegoke. Unable to attend school, he developed mental health challenges, bought insecticide from a patent medicine shop and drank the poison, dying at a period he was supposed to be sitting for his examinations.

Al-Powered Sport Betting: Nigeria’s New Killing Field

Following Adegoke’s death, questions began to be asked across Nigerian websites, blogs, and newspapers, about increasing cases of suicides and mental health challenges among young Nigerians, since sport betting transitioned from manual operations to Al-powered platforms on mobile phones in the last two decades.

There were no official centralized government statistics to track mental health challenges and suicides from sports betting in Nigeria, but a study stated that of sports bettors surveyed, 12.5 percent reported negative impacts, many resorting to depression, debt and crime to recoup from losses. However, documented cases of suicides were numerous. In December 2021, an Abuja-based youth, Adegbite, took his life after losing N150,000 ($100) belonging to his employer through betting. In February 2022, Daniel Ayuba Mark took his life after scammers hacked his SportyBet account and withdrew N1.5 million ($1,000) with a card he saved in his account.

Sports betting had always been present in Nigeria, but youths were not having mental health problems like this, and it was not because the population of bettors was not up to the estimated 60 million Nigerians now engaged with gambling. Things changed through the proliferation of mobile phones, with usage surging since 2021, active telecom subscriptions now exceeding 182 million subscribers.

Artificial intelligence through mobile phones then accelerated the rate of sports betting engagements, with ads now designed to be catchy and omnipresent in social media, blogs, and search engines, highlighting the few who won big, creating a sense of hope to young people, portraying betting as a shortcut to wealth. Unfortunately, the rate of losses also accelerated, increasing mental health challenges and documented cases of suicides.

How Regulatory Bodies help Al Kill Under-age Bettors

The National Lottery Regulatory Commission formerly supervised sports betting through the National Lottery Act 2005, which banned children under 18 from participating in it. In Section 34 (1) (e), licensees who contravened the provision were liable to fines of not less than N20,000 and imprisonment of not less than one year.

Despite this, findings revealed that the National Lottery Act was breached with impunity, with culprits not paying fines or imprisoned, while underage bettors frequently visited online betting sites, popularly known as Baba Ijebu.

To combat these sharp practices and lax regulations, the House of Representatives wanted to amend the 2005 National Lottery Act, through the Health Adolescence Act, but lack of political will stood in the way. The Director General, National Lottery Regulatory Commission, Lanre Gbajabiamila, also intended to institute tougher laws.

“Any operator allowing underaged individuals to participate in gambling will face the consequences. We are committed to building a responsible, well-regulated and fair industry,” he said.

The Supreme Court of Nigeria rendered these good intentions needless in 2024, when it ruled that gambling was supposed to be controlled by states and not federal authorities.

States now control the sector, but the proliferation of Al-powered mobile phones, as well as the activities of sport betting companies, still fuel sports betting among underage bettors, leading to rising documented rates of suicides and mental health challenges.

Experts also said the tough economic conditions in the country, the get-rich-quick mentality of Nigerians and the compelling techniques used by Al-powered sports betting platforms made millions to gamble.

With approximately 62 percent of Nigerians, or roughly 141 million people, living below the poverty line, lots of people fall for the alternatives provided by sports betting companies.

“Since the country is so bad, people are doing anything to get their daily bread, even sports betting, which entices people, especially young ones, like magic,” Love Olawumi, Publisher, Apoi Voice, told this reporter from his Lagos base.

How sports betting companies use Al to entice young Nigerians

In 2025, a video advertisement was posted on Facebook by Oun Lyka, featuring TVC newsreporter, Oluwakemi Fola Adeyemi, presenting a report about popular footballer Victor Osimhen endorsing the I Be Casino betting app.

“Victor Osimhen has become the official sponsor of an official mobile application that allows Nigerians to be successful. The app has created a new sensation and has broken all download records,” Adeyemi said.

“Our developers have specifically made it so that everyone can have a 98 percent chance of winning,” Osimhen said in the video.

Unknown to her followers, what Oun did was the standard way sports betting companies use to lure thousands of unwary youths into sports betting, with Al-powered videos endorsing them by popular footballers, only this time it was fake, as Osimhen’s endorsement of I Be Casino was Al-generated.

In Nigeria, the youth see artificial intelligence as a tool for transformation, economic empowerment, education and career growth. Once they learned that Al generated the data to be used for betting, they believed it was genuine. Capitalizing on this, sports betting companies exploited the opportunity to create an illusion for young sports bettors.

Experts say sports betting companies were not particularly bringing genuine information, they were only claiming to generate actionable data through Al in order to hoodwink the unwary, using Al-generated videos of a few winners and endorsements by popular footballers to create a facsimile of opportunity.

Looking for an Al-Powered Company
Worried about the alarming rates of suicide and mental health among the youth, as well as the powerful nature of Al-powered websites, Lagos State Government in late 2023 banned 45 gaming companies.

Most of the banned companies used artificial intelligence for its operations.
In trying to access one of them on Google, the first of the two sites associated with it said that the website was under construction. The second said attackers might be trying to steal information through the website, including passwords, bank account numbers, and card details.

On another website, Scribd.com, young people will discover that the company offered free registration to various types of bettors, with a minimum stake of N100 and maximum payout per bettor at N40,000,000, all deposits and withdrawals free of charge.

In trying to act on this by opening the website through Website Informer, a warning was given, saying one did so at their own risk, with ScamAdviser.com scoring the company one out of four in relation to safety.

Further probings revealed had been in the sports betting business since 1993, carrying out its business in nations such as Serbia, Republic of Srpska, Montenegro, and North Macedonia. All efforts to show its link with the Nigerian brand failed.

However, going by Nigerian law, any company into business should register with the SEC, but it was not among those listed on the SEC Verification Portal, a platform to assist people find out whether a business had permission to do business by law in Nigeria. On contacting the company through email, no reply came as at the time of filing this report.

However, information derived from WHOIS, a public database of domain registration records, indicated that no data was available for the company, because the domain name did not exist. If a company lacked data on WHOIS, it generally meant their ownership details were hidden, redacted, or the domain was not currently registered, indicating lack of transparency, a red flag.

Some sports betting companies on the list of those banned in Lagos operated in this way. When young Nigerians patronise them and lose, they could not hold an epileptic or unregistered company to account, leading to mental health challenges or suicide.

Why an Al-driven Sports Betting Company was Banned

On August 19, 2025, an influencer wrote a list on Nairaland, one of Nigeria's biggest blogs.

“My name is Ajimuda Timilehin. I live in Lagos and I work in sports betting,” the influencer said.

Writing with passion, he encouraged readers to stake with an Al-driven sports betting company banned by the Lagos State Government.

“If you are in Nigeria and you are looking for a betting site that pays fast and gives good odds, you can try this company,” Timilehin said.

The virtual games in the company’s catalog included Money Wheel, Demi God, Tales of Camelot, Net Cash and others, represented by many manufacturers, including Play'n Go, Playson, Booongo, NetEnt, Microgaming and many more.

The entire list of providers was displayed on the page with titles, allowing users to quickly find software from their favorite developers.

Everything on the screen was controlled by artificial intelligence, classic gaming or generative Al, with computers making decisions every single minute.

Unfortunately, scrutiny of the platform did not bear out Timilehin’s claims 100 percent.

The company lost a lot of credibility in Nigeria in 2023, when Nigerians berated it over the treatment meted out to a bettor popularly known as @MistaFelix, who won some draw games of around N50 million ($50,000) and was not paid. The company eventually paid after two and a half years, plenty time for a young man to develop mental health problems or commit suicude if affected.

Perhaps its habit of withholding winnings made punters condemn the company before and after its entrance into Nigeria. For instance, SCAMADVISER.COM gave the website a low trust rating, seeing it as a scam.

Several videos on YouTube praised the website, informing young bettors about how to register, as well as how to claim their bonus, while a reputable newspaper told stakers about what they needed to know about the company.

However, it was instructive to note that some YouTube viewers expressed contrary opinions in their comments on the sports betting website.

“They are scammers. They are holding $3,700 of my money, after I verified my account and submitted all the documents they requested (passport, national ID, binance account, etc). In the end, when I tried to withdraw, they approved it, and instantly an error appeared: ‘Payment error, Payment rejected by operator,’” wrote Ican, a bettor, on Jan 15, 2026.

On contacting the company about these issues, an official told this reporter that all bets were settled only after their specialists received official results of events provided by official sources.

“If you are interested in withdrawals, please note, availability of a payment method depends on the technical capacity of the payment system. Withdrawal operations can be processed from 15 minutes to several days, depending on the chosen method and circumstances in each case,” said Liza, the official who answered the email inquiry.

The company’s story was familiar, this reporter learnt. When Nigerians win big from some sports betting companies, payment was delayed or denied due to issues with the technical capacity of the Al-payment system, causing anguish, with some victims developing mental health problems in the process.

Earlier in the year, Kelvin Danlami, a 300-level computer science student at the Ibrahim Babangida University, Lapau, Niger State, killed himself after mental health challenges from losing rent money to a sports betting site.

Al-generated odds, endorsement by celebrities

The ability of Al sports betting in Nigeria to attract underage bettors could also be linked to endorsements by high profile individuals and influencers.

For example, former Super Eagles captain, Mikel Obi, was unveiled as a brand ambassador for Betwinner in February 2023, with the responsibility of representing the company in Nigeria.

In addition, Mikel joined Betwinner in an Al-driven cinematic advertisement campaign, to paint a vivid picture of the activities of the sports betting company, with more than 30 people in seven different time zones taking part in the process of creating the commercial, the shoot taking place in Dubai.

Mikel Obi is a famous footballer, trusted by millions of young people, so the sports betting company finds it convenient to use him in their promotions of Al-driven platforms. Through famous footballers, underage bettors get introduced to complex software, where Al-models match simulations for predictive analytics and personalized recommendations.

In other words, a combination of digital illiteracy, poor policy implementation, fraudulent sports betting companies and other reasons led Nigerian youths to lose their money, develop mental health problems and some ultimately committing suicide.

Meta,YouTube on Al-driven sports betting apps in Nigeria

Al-powered advertisements by sports betting companies which breach the law as related to underage betting were numerous on Meta and YouTube. The same applied to companies which peddled misleading information about betting. Meta did not respond when contacted for comment on whether it was aware of this issue.

But this reporter learned that Meta flagged misleading ads, only banning them if its automated tools were 95 percent certain that its laws had been flouted. When certainty was not 95 percent, Meta charged higher advertising rates as a penalty.

This trend enabled Nigerian sports betting companies to not comply with local laws with respect to not targeting underage youths with content in support of betting.

Google fights back, but not on underage betting

Google allowed sports betting companies to operate on its platform, but the outfits must comply with local laws about not targeting minors and promoting irresponsible betting.

These provisions have been breached time and time again, but even though Google banned sports betting companies in January 2025, after the Supreme Court judgement about who controlled the sector, it was not because Google was concerned about underage betting.

Three months later, Google confirmed this view, by reversing its ban, allowing ads for gaming products in Lagos State, provided they aligned with state laws.

Soon after, Google also allowed operators in Cross River, Ekiti and Oyo States to advertise sports betting, online casinos games and lotteries, in line with the Supreme Court ruling.

Experts however cautioned that artificial intelligence continued to put underage bettors at the mercy of sports betting companies through algorithms. “Because of the way advertising works, even if you want to avoid gambling, you’re going to be served up more options and opportunities to engage in that behaviour than if you were someone who never engaged in that behaviour in the first place,” said james Sherer, an expert with the American Psychiatric Association task force on gambling.

In Nigeria, where digital literacy was limited, Mr. Abah Christopher, a psychologist, said Al-fuelled sports betting could have negative psychological effects on individuals by contributing to depression, frustration, and in extreme cases, suicide.

To curb the problem, Christopher called for a number of measures. “We need intervention through therapy, support groups and treatment programs. These are crucial in breaking this cycle and helping individuals recover from gambling addiction,” he said.

On his part, Ebriku observed that sports betting companies were taking advantage of the proliferation of mobile phones to deploy Al-tools. “Before, people went to pools houses to bet, so it was easy to prevent underage betting, because youths could be driven away. But with mobile phones, sports betting companies could turn your head with Al-tools inside your room. This needs to be looked into,” he said.

The Situation Today

It has been years since Samuel Adegoke died, but Jacob Israel had not forgotten how he committed suicide through sports betting, nor stopped warning people against it.

With Meta and other social media unable or unwilling to pull down betting advertisements, and the Nigerian government's inability to implement laws related to the issue, millions of the underage are susceptible to Al-driven betting platforms as never before, becoming mentally ill with betting losses, some commiting suicide.
Christianity EtcWhat Is Working For You In The Spiritual by FrankB1(op): 1:13am On Jun 19
The issue is not what is working against you in the physical, but what power do you have of God working for you in the spiritual. In Luke 6:19 it says, And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all. Where was that power released, in the spiritual. The anointing is spiritual, so it works in the realm of the spiritual. Notice, the spiritual affects the physical. And the word of God is spiritual and the word of God is the power of God (Romans 1:16). And from Genesis all through The Bible God changes things in the physical from the realm of the spiritual. When God speaks He speaks from the realm of the spiritual. In the beginning when the earth was dark and void what did God do, He spoke from the realm of the spiritual and it affected the physical. Notice, John 1:1-3 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. And in verse 14 of that same chapter it calls Jesus the word made flesh.

In 1 John 1:1,2 it reads, That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; 2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto uswink. In 1 John 3:8 it reads, He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Notice, it says Jesus was manifested, that means spiritual became physical. Which means Jesus (the word) became physical. Well, I have good news for you, that's what the word is suppose to do. And I have even greater news, the word is suppose to become flesh/physical out of you. That's what Jesus taught in the parable of the sower. In Mark 4:20 it reads, And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.

Where did the fruit come from, out of the man. Another word for fruit is manifestation, so the word that was planted in his heart there was a manifestation of it in his life. Fruit comes out of the ground and Jesus said words are seeds and the heart(not blood pump) of man is ground. Didn't Jesus say in Luke 6:45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh. What is the treasure, whatever words have been planted in you. Whatever words you have planted in you and speak that is what you will bring forth. We were made in the image and likeness of God. And God blessed man in Genesis 1:28 and the first thing He said is, "Be Fruitful." That word fruitful means bring forth, in other words bring from the inside to the outside. If you look up the word things and the word words in The Strong's Concordance they are the same word. That is a revelation in itself, they are the same thing. Because, words become things just like seeds become things.

It was Jesus that compared words to seeds and seeds definitely becomes something. We're use to that on the natural side, now we need to get use to it on the spiritual side. That's interesting, now I see why Proverbs 4:20-23 says, My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. 21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. 22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. 23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. So, healing can come from the inside-out. So, no matter what is working against your body the word of God can handle it. That word health is translated as medicine, healing, remedy, cure. Notice the order, it's medicine that manifests healing in every condition so it's a remedy, a cure for all conditions. You tell me what conditions can defeat the power of God, none. All flesh is subject to what God establishes. For example, in Genesis 15:4 it reads, And, behold, the word of the Lord came unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir.

And in the process of time when Abraham was around 100 years old and his body was dead, it was in no condition for him to have a child, but he had a word from God that he will have a child from his own body. And you see in Romans 4:19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb. But yet, we see in Genesis 21:2 For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him. Another example is found in Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. Naturally, we know that's impossible, but once God speaks it then it's no longer impossible. Luke 2:6,7 And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. 7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

Receive, what God has established about your body, how. Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. By getting your mouth and heart in line with it and bring it forth. In Genesis 17:4,5 As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations. 5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee. Abram means high father and Abraham means father of a multitude God told him to call himself in line with his word. And you see in Romans 4:20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God. And you see Mary in Luke 1:38 And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her. And in Luke 1:45 it reads, And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord. They aligned their mouth and heart with the word of God and brought it forth.

Notice, both of their bodies were in conditions impossible for it to do what God said, but by the word in their heart and mouth the word turned their bodies into God's report. Jesus said in John 8:31,32 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. In all situations in that present fact there is a higher truth that will make you free from that fact. Fact is basically something that exists, or is present in reality. Hence, these are things that can be seen visually, and these are the things that can actually be verified. It is not just something that you believe, but rather these are more or less the things that can be observed empirically, or by the senses. So, facts can be seen and heard, as well as proven by the other senses. So, facts deals with what can be detected by the senses. Truth-Truth can be described as the true state of a certain matter. God has already spoken His truths(John 17:17), now the next one that needs to speak it is you. For Isaiah 55:11 says, So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

It is not God's will that any should perish. And I wouldn't want to end this article without giving someone the opportunity to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior. It's very easy just pray: Dear God- I know I have sinned and I now turn from them and I invite Jesus to come into my heart (Revelation 3:20). He died for my sins and you have raised him from the dead and I now confess Jesus is my Lord and Savior (Romans 10:9,10). I thank you for saving me, Amen

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name (John 1:12). 1 Timothy 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. Romans 5:8-10 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. [9] Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. [10] For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. 2 Peter 3:9 King james Version 9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
TravelThe Remote Island Nation With Zero Traffic Lights And A Secret Name! by togeday(op): 12:53am On Jun 19
Hello everyone,

Through my global project togeday, I document the world's most unique cultures and destinations. Today, I want to take you to one of the most isolated and breathtaking places on Earth - a paradise that feels like it exists in a parallel universe.

I am talking about the Cook Islands, a stunning nation of 15 tiny islands scattered across the vast Pacific Ocean. While researching this country for our latest documentary, I discovered some mind-blowing facts that completely changed my view of remote island life.

Here are 3 incredible facts about this hidden paradise:

The Forbidden Height Law: In the entire country, there is a strict law that no building can be taller than the highest coconut tree (about 3 stories). Because of this, the islands have completely preserved their raw, stunning nature. There are also zero traffic lights anywhere, and the pace of life is beautifully slow.
Mastering the Stars: For centuries, the locals navigated thousands of miles across the violent Pacific Ocean without compasses, GPS, or maps. They perfected a legendary skill of "reading" the stars, the ocean currents, and the flight patterns of birds. It is a brilliant ancient science that scientists are still studying today.
The Identity Battle: Even though the world calls them the "Cook Islands" (named after Captain james Cook), the indigenous people actually have their own ancient language and identity. Right now, there is a fascinating movement among the locals to completely change the name of their country to a traditional Maori name to honor their true ancestors.

To capture the peaceful lifestyle, the incredible navigation secrets, and the untouched beauty of this Pacific gem, togeday just released a spectacular new short visual guide. As an international creator, I am incredibly proud of how we captured the spirit of this isolated paradise.

Witness the stunning reality of the Cook Islands here:

For those who love travel and culture - could you imagine living in a place with no traffic lights and no high-rise buildings? Do you think they should change their national name to reclaim their identity? I would love to hear your thoughts and get your expert feedback on our video!

I have heard you james Bond 😂 If not for Lord Lugard, we shouldn't be having this conversation.
Herdsmen are causing havoc in your region and you can't cough.
I even doubt if you are truly a Nigerian. Some of the hateful things I see online don't have any connection to Nigeria.
Just elements of destabilisation.
yes if not for ugard, I wouldn't have known if yu exist..

Shariah is also in the Bible-Matthew 5:29-32 NKJV (New King james Version) And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members (part of your body) perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.
If you can't translate the Bible appropriately, ask for help instead of making claims to suit your agenda. undecided

What most people don't understand is that it's impossible to have faith without works so james is not telling you that there is faith without works rather he is telling you that there is no faith without works.

To understand james 2:26 well consider this statement and try to rephrase it.

A woman who has nothing to do with a man is dead to motherhood.

Is it possible for a woman to become a mother while having anything to do with a man?

Of course that's impossible so without faith you can't work that is what james is saying!

So what does it really mean to believe in God's only begotten Son?
Is it just by claiming you believe in Jesus?

Take for instance someone is shouting up and down the town:

"Only Mr V can save us in this country, he has all the potentials needed to serve as our president, he is a bonafide son of the soil and he's been working round the clock to make our country great again. In fact when he becomes our president he will solve all our problems"

Do you think such a person truly believes in Mr V?

Well by the words of his mouth you will think he does but then has he:

Registered to get a voter's card?

Associate with members of the party?

Participate in the party's programs?

Move to all territories to ensure voters?

Fearlessly come out and vote for Mr V?

If he doesn't do all of these do you think he truly believes in Mr V? Hebrews 11:6🙂
In essence, Genuine faith (Belief) must be demonstrated through actionable deeds

I'm also worried about over inactivity in the transfer window thus far. Like we haven't done anything concrete about our outgoings , neither have we really shown we are in advance talks with any player coming in.

I really hope they won't buy players off their world cup performance which may end up being fluke. I remember how james Rodriguez was signed by Madrid after his stunning performance at the world cup only for him to be disappointing when he joined them and still flopped at Everton as well.

I believe we should have identified our preferred signings from their performance this past season and we should be wrapping up deals so the players can have good preseason tour with our existing players.
I feel they want to get rid of the fringe players first
Last season we got our business first and our fringe players were toss around like we are desperate to sell to balance our book.
Hopefully they sell first, forest want Viera
Everton and Newcastle want white, I also feel Newcastle might look at Trossard or Martinelli after lfc hijack their replacement for Gordon
