you have sharp memory, you still remember Darlington and Chukwudi Now I like the way you calm down and break this your response down. Firstly like I said in Agbor's case, I didn't hate her bcus she speaks good English, I first of all dislike her for trying to impose it on us to always speak pure English, we are train and brought up in the trenches and used to it, you that just came from nowhere is trying to control us. Gradually my dislike became hate for her which I actually said I don't know why or have any reason. Secondly, I give you three gbosas for actually saying at that time we couldn't have been speaking pure English. Maybe not all of us, but I can beat my chest that I can stand in front of anybody at that time and speak pure English. I didn't go to any lesson or kindagarten when I was a baby. I went straight to pry 1 in 1988. And it was the time when if your right hand can't cross your head and touch the left ear, you won't be admitted. I fail in that aspect but I was giving exception and got admitted bcus of my natural God giving intelligent. From my 6yrs at home, I have been reading newspaper, Bible and dictionary which sharpened me and also how to speak. As at that 6yrs I can speak Yoruba, Igbo and English fluently. I later got admitted in that 1988 when I was 8yrs instead of earlier, but bcus of that crossing hand criteria. But they later had to forgo it and gave me priority, moreso was that our headmistress was a friend and customer of my mum who was a popular second hand clothes (okrika) seller then. . And lastly, about the prefect thing. I swear to God that was what happened. From primary 1 till 5, it was two guys named Darlington and Chukwudi that beats me constantly in terms of result. Honestly both of them were genuises. They interchange that first and second position between themselves leaving me scrambling for that 3rd position always. No matter what and how hard I tried to read to surpass them, for where. I have to give up and accept it that way. So bcus of that, teachers and students knew three of us till primary 6. Even when they changed the headmistress that was my mum's friend. She introduced the three of us to the new head teacher and told her to always listen to us and give us preferential treatment, cus we were the stars of the school. Like I said earlier, before that our class teacher came to arrange our seating. It was three of us that sat together in the same seat from primary three till five. Students and classmates started insinuating that it bcus we always sit together and spy and teach ourselves that we three always comes top. Thank Goodness that arrangements separated the three of us to different seats. And at the end of the promotional exam, we three took that 1 to 3 position with me holding my normal position. So this achievements gave me small bragging rights in our school plus I was in our school drama and theatre group. We did so many acts in and around our neighbouring schools and events. And I won't lie to you, I was a local star in Okokomaiko and environs then. All these achievements gave me the privilege to ask that favour from our head teacher for Agbor. Lastly I rejected that time keeper on purpose, I was expecting a better post. But I won't blame them, I was the smallest in size among those called, and I guess they think I wasn't imposing and big enough to be given a greater and more challenging role, which I perfectly understand within me, so I lied I didn't want any either. And I was glad our teacher gave me that privilege to select her and she Agbor was very happy. . Even till today I am typing this, I don't know if I can take a manager role. Bcus I am too small and timid to shout and control people. So SisterAnn, everything I said here is the truth and nothing but the truth, my primary school then F.O.A do have prefects.[/quote] |
