Go through your transaction history you will see when you were credited Na only GTBank dey do this rubbish , it's possible he didn't borrow the money. If there's no money in your account and the month ends they will still deduct you for sms alerts and other bank fees for the month meaning you'll end up with a negative balance. I was once having -1800 in my account and I promised never to use their account again until one idiot went to pay some money into my account without informing me he was going to pay to that particular account |

TechAI: Most of the cars we use in Nigeria are imported from Europe, Canada, and the U.S.
But are we aware that these same cars — especially popular Japanese brands — can also be purchased from China? Many of the models we get from the West are also available in the East, often at a lower cost, making them potentially more affordable to import.
Are there people already doing this in Nigeria, but it’s just not being talked about enough?
I’d like to request that this be moved to the front page for wider visibility. I’m planning to buy a car in the coming months and am currently doing my research.
Thank you in advance I'll say it's because of the number of people living in the West and in Europe , most of the cars are exported to Nigeria by people ( Nigerians ) resident in these places. You'll hardly find someone travelling from Nigeria to China to import cars to Nigeria. As for Nigerians resident in China their purchasing power isn't as high as those in the West or Europe , there's a huge wage gap ( exchange rate also adds to this ) between China and the West. Ask yourself , do you see people exporting cars from Slovakia , Estonia or places like Serbia even though they are in Europe |

Lukgaf: The Death Of FPMB: A Lesson For The Living
Abu Hafs Lukgaf Very stupid sermon Will this deter the embezzlers , definitely not. You talk as if the poor will go to heaven with their own possessions or that poverty will ensure paradise. Now if you don't know they steal for the time , however little , they will spend on earth , so that they do not live a wretched life and to also pass generational wealth to their children and even unborn progeny while you come out spewing rubbish talk about not carrying the wealth to heaven ( which heaven by the way ). If we can not hold them accountable while they are alive then all these sermons are useless and they have achieved their aims already. I have always said it that the burden of death lies on the living , the dead have no recollection after death , it is still the living who go on crying whether a man lived a just or unjust life. Nonsense and ingredients |

Better than remaining at the top 4spot year in year out and still end up winning nothing. Not even FA Cup or champions League. Club like arsenal played in the Europa League but failed to lift the cup. So what's your point really. What he's saying is that it shouldn't be seen as a flex , yes they've won the Europa League and conference league but teams like Barca and Real have never participated in the conference league because they have never been so low as to participate in it |

shilenji: It's nice to be back on here really, a lot of changes have happened on this great platform.
I dropped a thread a few years ago about how I was able to stop smoking a few years ago, check my profile.
Now, I've been thinking lately about how I was able to stop that addiction and how I never looked back. Recently I stopped gambling too it's been 9 long months without giving my hard earned money to bookmakers. I'm wondering if other people find it this easy to quit a bad habit.
I hate to admit that I find myself addicted to a lot of immoralities and I've taken it upon myself over the years to TRY to QUIT these things. Recently I stopped watching porn I started at the beginning of this month so far so good, though I get the strongest urges to go back into watching porn, eventually the urge might win but for now I'm winning.
So Great minds, have you ever been addicted to certain things and have you been able to quit? If yes Drop some tips for those still struggling?
Cheers to all great mods of nairaland and all members in general. It's really nice to be back. The hardest addiction to overcome is sugary stuff |

Education › Re: FUTA Student Seeks Help As JAMB Flags Admission ‘seven Years After UTME’ by Semaj77(m): 1:16pm On Jun 29, 2025 |
Kingdavid579: Let’s be honest—JAMB is beginning to overdo it.
Yes, regulation is important, but when a body starts wielding power in a way that frustrates the future of young people, it becomes a problem.
Not every irregularity is fraud.
Sometimes, people genuinely go through a process they thought was right—especially when schools themselves are involved.
🎓 Many students were admitted through unconventional routes like part-time, distance learning, or fast-track programs.
Some didn’t even know they were supposed to go through JAMB regularization until years later.
Whose fault is that? The institution should take responsibility—not the student alone.
🧾 And now, someone graduates, gets a certificate, serves the country through NYSC, and suddenly JAMB says “you’re not valid”? How?
✅ What JAMB should be doing is working with schools to clean up the system—not waking up and declaring someone’s future invalid just because their name wasn’t in one database years ago.
✅ And any school that truly admitted a student should be the one defending that student, not leaving them to carry the burden alone.
This is how you break the spirit of hardworking Nigerians—people who already struggled to go to school without government help.
No scholarship, no subsidy, no support. Now after they finish, you tell them they’re not “genuine”?
Let’s not forget: power is not forever. JAMB should focus on fixing the process, not punishing people retroactively.
Nigeria should be a place where people feel encouraged to get an education—not punished for it. Thank you for this submission The school should have done a deeper scrutiny and followed due process right from the start rather than let him waste time and money for years. |

immortalcrown: You just described yourself here. Nobody has claimed that the guy's certificate is fake. That shows that he was actually a student of the school in question. So, how did the school generate a registration number for the student if JAMB did not give the student admission? O Lord have mercy , there's no point arguing with you anymore |
Education › Re: FUTA Student Seeks Help As JAMB Flags Admission ‘seven Years After UTME’ by Semaj77(m): 1:02pm On Jun 29, 2025 |
immortalcrown: Your own logic is what should be questioned here. Is the university not to supposed to verify the admission before giving the student a registration number and accepting school fees and conducting exams for the student? I see you're just arguing for the sake or arguing , did I not mention that there's probably an inside help to bypass scrutiny or are you just choose to be selectively blind |
Education › Re: FUTA Student Seeks Help As JAMB Flags Admission ‘seven Years After UTME’ by Semaj77(m): 12:59pm On Jun 29, 2025 |
trytillmake: Bro this argument is flawed, does Jamb not send names of students to school that applied to that institution, how did his name come out for post time or on batch list for admission, No the school and Jamb have a case to answer Exactly , that is why I said it could be an inside help from JAMB or the school to bypass the scrutiny , you don't seem to realize the corruption going on in Nigeria , however , I don't think JAMB or the school can be held responsible if he used inside help , they can only get those doing these deals and punish them accordingly. I can only fault the school as they should have found out a long time ago before the boy had to pay his way through school , lost time and effort. |

immortalcrown: So, it is the responsibility of admission seekers to verify admission on behalf of any university that accept them? How does your logic work Has the school told all admission seekers to verify their admission on behalf of the school Okay let me paint a hypothetical situation here , assuming a student did really forge his document and takes them to the school and with the help of an insider bypasses scrutiny and the school at the end of the day says his document isn't genuine , is it the school who will provide evidence that it's fake or genuine or will it be the student ? |

Semaj77: I was responding to your comment about him paying school fees or writing exams in the school , how does that concern the case of him bringing a forged document However here's the case , it may be someone from JAMB who provided the fake document , it may also be that the school did verify his admission letter but he got someone from the inside to bypass this scrutiny but all I can say is the student himself should know about whatever went down , he can not wash his hands off the blame |

Education › Re: FUTA Student Seeks Help As JAMB Flags Admission ‘seven Years After UTME’ by Semaj77(m): 12:28pm On Jun 29, 2025 |
immortalcrown: Is the certificate he got from the university fake? Even if the university claims that the certificate he got from the institution is fake, is there no evidence that the university was collecting school fees from him and conducting exams for him?
As long as the guy had a registration number in the school, the university should either explain how the guy got to the registration number or provide the real owner of the registration number.
The university has some questions to answer.
JAMB should settle this guy and fight the university. Otherwise, the university should give that graduate a lucrative job or give him an awesome compensation that will establish him for life. You're jumping the whole issue , it's not about if he wrote exams from the school or paid school fees to the school , JAMB is basically saying the school didn't do their due diligence , the school is supposed to get back to JAMB to verify the admission letter the guy brought to them , verification wasn't done on the guys admission letter. All of these did he get registration number or did he pay school fees is immaterial if the admission letter wasn't verified from the outset , this isn't the first time such has happened and it won't be the last , the problem most times is from the student and the institution. I had friends who had similar problems when I was graduating from U.I , every single one of them lost their case |
