First, it takes some level of acceptance for a non Indegene to contest an election in another state, you don't see that in the east means the person is not properly accepted.
The southeast even consist of some minority tribes but you hardly see them in Government. Anambra state is a typical example.
It was former Governor Willy Obiano that even recognized the Igala tribe and gave them a commissioner slot which was unprecedented in the history of Anambra state.
Recalled vididly during my time in Akwa Ibom how I heard the news that Abia State chased non Abians out of their civil service despite that they mostly are Igbos.
