Super Eagles goalkeeper and long serving captain, Vincent Enyeama has reportedly retired from the Nigerian National team.
Enyeama, one of the pillars of the National team reached 101 caps for Nigeria and is widely regarded as the most influential Nigerian player in the past 10 years.
The first choice goalkeeper for Lille football club recently got stripped of his captaincy by super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh.
A disagreement between Enyeama and Oliseh has sparked a row in which the goalie was forced out of the Eagles camp. Although the NFF later intervened, Enyeama took to Instagram to announce that he is retiring from the Super Eagles team.

West Africa’s biggest music talent hunt show turned its focus on “International classics”, as the finalists sought to prove that they deserve to have come this far in the competition.

Some of the performances saw commendable use of props to tell their musical story. Ada opened the floor with Mary J Blige’s , I’m going down, followed by Anderson’s soulful delivery of Simon and Garfunkel’s Bridge over troubled water. Kumi decided to do away with the props in her solemn rendition of Bette Midler’s Wind Beneath My Wings. Jeff, always the show man, shared a serenade of Marvin Gaye’s Sexual Healing with a section of his female fans.
