1. TIN is required. And you can use the one for your registered business venture.
2. I use my ALAT savings account for payments on Uber and I've been receiving my payments steadily every Tuesday (even though I have a current account).
3. The name on your driver's license and your Uber driver profile must match.
The names on the vehicle papers don't have to match. The name on my vehicle papers don't match the name on my Uber account (using my Dad's car so it was purchased and registered in his name)

sammoe:
Hello everyone, hope Lagos is moving. Pls, I've got a few questions I need help with.
1. Is TIN still required by Uber to sign up a vehicle? If yes can one use the TIN for his registered business venture?
2. Can a savings account be used?
3. Do the names on the uber account, bank account and vehicle papers have to correspond (e.g using a brother/friend's car)?

Thanks

Infact for now Oshodi is a no-no for me. For any trip taking me to Festac and environs once I can go through the local airport through the intl airport toll gate then I take that route instead. Oshodi traffic is getting madder by the day.
Alonzo360:
Attention!!!pls do not go towards mile 2 via oshodi, heavy standstill(traffic) on the road full of trucks...

My 4th trip on Uber is looking promising. Rider asked me for a good Amala joint and I called a friend who described one just on the route to the rider's destination.
Rider paid for my lunch and now I'm taking them back. Some riders have good hearts. smiley

I think this will save a life. The kind of device you use also matters a lot. I had an issue with my Samsung S5 this week and decided to use an Infinix Hot 2 phone temporarily. The result? Frustration.

1. The phone does not have an accurate GPS transmitter which means the wrong location very different from where you are would be displayed on the map leading to Uber sending very far trip requests your way and in turn leading to high trip cancellations on the rider's end.

2. The Navigation was messed up as the issue in 1 above led to wrong routes being displayed by the map. Since current location is wrong the optimal route will be definitely wrong.

In conclusion, use a good phone it will help you a lot.

BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by ShegsA(m): 3:54pm On Sep 15, 2017
Hello all, it seems Uber is waking up again. Just got this mail from them
Hi Oluwasegun,

We’re happy to let you know that we’re increasing the minimum fare to N400. This is to make your short trips more profitable.

In addition to the minimum fare increase, we’re changing the cancellation fee to N400. Cancellation fees are meant to cover the time and fuel you spent to reach a rider before the trip was cancelled -- not an actual fare.

The cancellation fee is being changed to match at least what you would have made if the trip had taken place. Should a rider cancel a trip more than 5 minutes after sending a request, the rider will be charged N400 to compensate you for your time and distance travelled to the pick-up location.

Reminder: Your weekly earnings are still guaranteed!

You will earn a minimum of N90,000 when you have completed at least 60 valid trips. If you earn less than N90,000 after you have completed 60 valid trips, we will top-up your earnings to ensure that you earn at least N90,000 for the week. Have a look below to see how many trips you should complete to qualify for other minimum guarantees.

Hello all,

Please I need help. The documents I uploaded on Uber were accepted and marked Active but the on boarding is taking too long.
1. Is the car inspection still a criteria for Uber? I'm trying to register my car on Uber which I'll be driving myself.
2. How long does it take for you to begin receiving ride requests after completing all the screening tests and videos?

Thank you all.
EducationRe: NDDC 2017 POSTGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION OPEN by ShegsA(m): 7:04pm On May 15, 2017
Wow! Thanks for this info.
saouri:
That method is no longer applicable my dear.
I also wrote in 2015.

In 2016, they surprised us with a new format; The exam was based on your academic area.
Eg if you are going to study engineering, you will write the engineering exam, If you are in the social sciences/project management, you will write the project management exam.
Nobody knows what style they will use this year, so just prepare for both to be safe.

Chigojude:
I'm a first timer at the scholarship, hope to nail it once and for all. any tips on the nature of the exam, and whether there is a shortlisting before the exam and interview stages?
My first attempt was in 2015 and the exams were multiple choice questions in Mathematics, English language and General Knowledge. Results were computed immediately after the exams which I passed. The interview stage was more of them trying to know if I was sure of what I was going to study and also current affairs questions surrounding NDDC and my state of origin. Didn't do well at the interview and also didn't apply for the 2016 version. I'll be applying for this one. Hope I get it.

Christianity EtcRe: The Truth About Christ Embassy Healing School by ShegsA(m): 10:51pm On Sep 14, 2014
I quite agree with this post. This is the message for the end-time church. Study your Bible for those who know their God shall be strong and do exploits....And please let God reveal (by Himself) those who are His and those who aren't. Don't try to fight God's battle for Him. "..this seal standeth sure, the LORD know those who are HIS and let everyone who calleth on the name of the LORD depart from iniquity..." Shallom!!
Beey: The apostle Paul said that by now you should be eating meat but you are still on milk.We have a generation of miracle chasers who are running left & right in search of a miracle. In the process, they have no time to study the word of God and take pastors like their 2nd gods.Everything the pastor says, is the Gospel truth according to this category of believers. They have itchy ears, running from meeting to meeting to hear prophecies. They chase after men instead of chasing after God.The Biblical false prophets are busy at work & the Scripture says that if the days are not shortened, the devil will deceive even the very erect.May God deliver us from false prophets. If one has any knowledge of fashion, they can tell the difference between real & imitation. Imitation looks real but it's not real. The Lord says that on that day of judgement, he'll tell many that did works in His name" depart from me, I do not know you." The Bible says that the Berean christians were more noble because even after Paul had preached to them, they went back and studied the scriptures.Study your Bibles and you will not be tossed about by every wind of doctrine.

3sha4lyf: Plus, something worth doing is worth doing well... when investing in a lappy as a student, think of life after studies... what would you like to use that same lappy for? can it still meet your needs when you start working or you will need to get a new current one? Pls buy one that has a 3-5years initial product life so that come what may, it won't be obsolete by 2016.
I agree with this. Buy something that will be very useful both during your degree program + when you start working except you plan on trading in the old to purchase a newer one when you start working.

justwise: They are struggling to go up the ranking, under immigration investigation for visa fraud, suspended at the moment. Not a school i will recommend to anybody at the moment.

Their fees for undergraduate and Msc are still about £9500
They've reduced the MSc fees for 2014/2015 academic session to £7000 if you pay before registration. Check my first post there is a screenshot on the mail I received from the school.
