wow, just tried it with the pad I have (follow come with the console) and it blinked exactly 30 times.

I bought second hand pad for 15k when I got the console. The seller claimed it is original but I didn't even use it up to 4 months. Wish I had performed this trick back then.

Attached are pictures of the damaged page. It suddenly refused to turn on.

I hope you don't charge your pads with phone charger/wall socket

Well, there are a couple of things to look out for. However, pressing ps button of pad (while console is disconnected from power to avoid pairing) and counting how many times the led light blinks is a trusted method.
Blinking exactly 30 times is a strong indicator of original dualshock 4 controller.
Fake pads usually blink 23-25 times or over 40 times.

However, please note that you can get pre-owned yet super clean PS4 slims for a cheaper price. Ensure you go for those whose warranty seal is still intact. This indicates such console has never been opened, hence never been repaired. I have such units also.

What you have to understand is that the PS4 slim and Pro are well-built gaming consoles with durability and very few technical flaws, unlike the PS4 fat or PS3 consoles.

BUT

Are you 100% sure your pad is original? That's the first question to ask, isn't it?

Because some of the symptoms you mentioned above are associated with certain fake china pads.
