That's the problem with most universal modems. Very poor reliability. Always better to purchase a good modem and unlock it.

I have unlocked Spectranet Huawei E5172Bs-925 but it was not showing signal and the guy who provided the unlock code said I should enable data roaming in the dial up menu but I am not seeing any. Where is this located? Is there something else I can do?

The router only detects band LTE band 40. So it will only detect Spectranet and Swift LTE.

Try configuring the modem to only detect LTE. If it still doesn't detect the network, try another device to confirm the availability of the network.

It should reset. If it's not resetting, the firmware might need to be flashed to reset the modem.

Press the reset button for about 10 seconds to reset the modem. It is visible when you remove the battery cover.

This model does not detect LTE band 40 which is the band that spectranet runs on. Always check the LTE band compatibility of a modem/router before purchasing.
