"I rarely play the lottery. My dad buys tickets once in a while and thought it would fun to get me two tickets for my birthday. The following day, I didn’t think much of it when I scratched off the first set of numbers. But when I finished scratching the second ticket, I began to shake and sweat out of nervousness. I just couldn’t believe it was real.”
The birthday girl had won $4 million dollars.
Deise said she immediately called her father who was also stunned.

Christianity EtcPriest Kidnaps And Raped Teen, Assists Family With Search by slimkay4557(op): 12:44pm On Oct 30, 2014
A priest has been arrested for allegedly kidnapping and raping a 15-year-old girl in Itireleng informal settlement near Laudium, Pretoria.

The 25-year-old man was arrested yesterday around 1am after allegedly kidnapping the girl on the weekend and repeatedly raping her, police spokesperson Sergeant Ann Poortman said today.

The teenager’s sister sent her to a tuck shop around 11.30am on Saturday. While she was there she saw the priest who told her to go to a shack in the area.

The girl’s family attended the man’s church and he was believed to be close friends with the girl’s father, Poortman said.

When the girl walked to the shack the priest allegedly followed her, raped her and locked her inside.

When her father returned home and noticed she was not home yet her family opened a missing person’s case at the police station.

“The man [priest] assisted the family to search for her and later went back to the shack and repeatedly raped her,” Poortman said.

On Monday around 9pm he told her he would release her on condition that she go to a woman’s home.

Upon her arrival at the woman’s home she was supposed tell her that she had gone to her friend’s house in Mamelodi and needed someone to accompany her home safely.

After her family questioned her, the girl told them she had been kidnapped and raped by the priest, Poortman said.

A kidnapping and rape case was opened on Tuesday morning. The man was arrested yesterday.

He appeared in court today.

FamilyFamily Unable To Pay Hospital Bill After Giving Birth To Triplets. by slimkay4557(op): 7:03pm On Oct 29, 2014
A woman who just gave birth to triplets is being held at the hospital over her family's inability for N150k bill. Sun News reports below...
A couple with five children was recently blessed with a set of triplets. The couple, now with eight kids – five boys and three girls – never envisaged going that far in child bearing. But since circumstance had made it so, Mr. & Mrs. Ifeani Benjamin Amadu, from Ukpo in Dunukofia Local Government Area of Anambra State, have no option but to accept their fate.Mrs. Amadu told our correspondent that three months into her pregnancy, she had gone for scan only to be told that she was carrying three babies in her womb, a revelation that threw her into fright.
Soon after she was delivered of the babies at Ajeromi General Hospital, Ajegunle, Lagos, on Saturday, October 27, 2014, the woman and her husband found themselves in a tight corner. They had no money to offset their hospital bills, which stood at N150, 000.
Mrs. Amadu, while narrating her experiences during and after her pregnancy, pointed out that it was a serious battle. “The pregnancy was not business as usual,” she began. “At a point, my whole body became too heavy that I could not do even very common things. I could neither sleep well nor walk freely. Also, bending and bathing were tough for me. In fact, it was as if I was carrying excess load.”
She told Daily Sun, however, that all the problems disappeared immediately after she was delivered of the babies. People kept trooping to the hospital to see the bundles of joy. It was discovered that the triplets were the first to be delivered in the hospital this year.
Though she had a safe delivery and her triplets were in sound health, paying her hospital bills and taking care of the triplets have become a daunting task. Following failure of the couple to foot their hospital bill more than two weeks after delivery, the triplets and their mother could not be discharged.
Unfortunately, Mrs. Amadu, a National Certificate of Education (NCE) holder and a teacher in a private school earns a very lean salary. Her income and that of her husband are nowhere enough for them to cater for the delivery. “I could not save enough for this delivery because my salary is poor,” she said. “I tried to get a job in a public school as a teacher, but none came my way. So I decided to manage with the one that I have right now. My husband too planned as much as he could for the task ahead, but we never knew that things would work out this way. Unfortunately, earlier before my delivery, robbers visited us and carted away some money that my husband had planned to invest in a little business. So, that is why we have found ourselves in this tensed situation.”
Mrs. Amadu wants financial support from men and women of goodwill who she believes would have a share in the special blessings being brought by the triplets. “At the moment, we cannot pay the hospital bill due to our severe financial constraints. We are therefore calling on men and women of goodwill like Governors Wille Obiano, Rochas Okorocha, Babatunde Raji Fashola, corporate bodies and other groups and individuals to come to our aid so that we can leave the hospital. I am tired of staying here; I want to go home with my babies,” she said.
Her husband, Mr. Ifeani Amadu, also expressed his feelings. “We have been married for 14 years, and since that time, my wife has been fruitful. In fact, we had closed child bearing after four children. But the pregnancies continued to come. After having five children, we never planned having another, yet the sixth came. As a child of God, I have been feeling so bad to encourage abortion or family planning. But now, we have been forced to do it.”
He believed that the triplets would serve as a point of contact for others. He described the situation, as a serious one and called on Nigerians to come to the rescue of his family. “I have been thinking about how to get out of this situation. My wife and the triplets have spent close to three weeks in the hospital because I have no money to pay their bill. I am appealing to those who are touched by what my family is going through to assist us financially so that we could pay the hospital bill and cater for the babies too.
Any financial assistance should be made to Mr. Ifeani Benjamin Amadu, UBA Account number 2032569487. The family can be reached on 07033284662 and 09035639764.

CrimeHusband Caught On Camera Handing Over Cash To Hitman He Hired To Kill His Bride by slimkay4557(op): 6:17pm On Oct 29, 2014
In 2010, newlywed British national Shrien Dewani and his 28 year old wife Anni Dewani were in South Africa for their honeymoon and while riding in a taxi in Cape Town on Nov. 13th, Anni was shot dead by two men who hijacked the taxi. The men involved in the murder were later caught and they shockingly confessed that the new husband had hired them to attack them in the car and kill his wife.

The wealthy businessman who had since left South Africa back to the UK, was extradited back to South Africa to face murder charges. Of course Shrien denied having a hand in his wife's death but today a footage of him handing money to the hitman he allegedly hired to kill his bride, taxi driver, Zola Tongo, who is serving 18 years in prison for his role, was played at his murder trial.
Shrien Dewani is suspected to have killed his wife because he is gay and didn't want to be stuck with a wife. One of his gay lovers, Leopold Leisser, already gave testimony in court.

PoliticsUS Using Ebola To Expand Its Intervention In Africa: Azikiwe by slimkay4557(op): 9:59pm On Oct 28, 2014
The United States is using the guise of the Ebola virus outbreak to expand its intervention in Africa, a civil rights activist and journalist in Detroit says.
Abayomi Azikiwe, editor of the Pan-African News Wire, made the remarks in a phone interview with Press TV on Tuesday while commenting on the Pentagon’s decision to isolate and quarantine US soldiers returning from West Africa.
Two US states -- New Jersey and New York -- have already ordered a mandatory 21-day quarantine for medics who have treated Ebola patients in West Africa, where the epidemic has already killed about 5,000 people.
“I strongly believe that the United States should provide more assistance to the three countries that have been stricken by the outbreak of the Ebola virus disease,” Azikiwe said.
“Nonetheless, I believe there has been an overreaction inside the United States, largely fuelled by rightwing political forces to stigmatize and isolate and quarantine all those who have been assisting in the healthcare mechanisms for those who have been stricken by the Ebola virus disease in Sierra Leone, Guinea and Liberia,” he added.
Azikiwe stated that the US Africa Command (AFRICOM) is “designed to extend the United States’ military intervention on the African continent.”
“They are utilizing AFRICOM to penetrate Africa under the guise of treating or responding to the Ebola virus outbreak,” he emphasized.
President Barack Obama has authorized the Pentagon to deploy troops to West Africa to fight the spread of the deadly disease. Under the president’s order, some 3,600 troops could be sent to West Africa. Hundreds of US soldiers have already been deployed to Liberia.
Azikiwe went on to say that “it is important for those soldiers, who have been stationed in Liberia, ostensibly in response to the Ebola virus disease outbreak, that they be protected.”
“The United States’ government does not have a history of protecting its own soldiers. We know that in Iraq they were exposed to depleted uranium weapons; we also know that US chemical weapons, that were utilized by the Iraqi government in the 1980s in their war against Iran, these weapons were in Iraq. They were discovered yet the discovery of these weapons, the information was concealed by the United States’ government and the corporate media,” the veteran journalist continued.
“So we are concerned that those who are in West Africa right now, in Libra particular, be protected, and their health and lives are given maximum priority,” he stressed.
There is currently no known cure for Ebola, which is a form of hemorrhagic fever with diarrhea, vomiting and bleeding as its symptoms.
The Ebola virus spreads through direct contact with infected blood, feces or sweat. It can also be spread through sexual contact or the unprotected handling of contaminated corpses.
Recently, more experts have said that the Ebola virus is a genetically modified organism and was developed in US bio-warfare laboratories in West Africa.
In a recent interview, Dr. Francis Boyle of the University of Illinois said, “My opinion is that the origins of the current pandemic came out of the USA bio-warfare labs in West Africa.”
He added that the US has been “using West Africa as an offshore to circumvent the Convention on Biological Weapons and do bio-warfare work.”
