Soyinka graduated with third class at University of Ibadan but today wherever he stands, those that made first class can stand with him because he never allowed his third class grade to weigh him down. As at today, he has lectured in many tertiary institutions, stood with many world leaders and command respect all over the world.

Come to Obi. He graduated with second class lower and he has never allowed the grade to lower him. He's been pushing and adding value to his career and building empire for himself and his family.

In my little sojourn in life, Tinubu is the only acclaimed first class graduate I have seen in my life that never added a single certificate to his acclaimed first class degree till date. He graduated in 1979 and added no single professional or even administrative certificate to his first degree but today you respect him and may even kill yourself for him.

Soyinka got his recognition in the world of academics not with third class but his performance when he went back to school for further studies.
