Yes you have to root it. And you'll receive updates after rooting but you won't be able to install it

You'll have to flash infinix ROM on it. Go to infinix site to download it. But before that, download the latest version of iroot first, then connect your phone and try root. If it didn't work, then go to infinix site to download their ROM for hot 2
