abbey621: Let us all admit it, Buhari na one very smart man......He knew if removal of subsidy happened under his watch, the country go scatter pata pata, he tried everything possible not to hand over to Tinubu as na only Tinubu fit do something so drastic and no look Uche face. He wanted Osibanjo someone that can easily be removed due to public outcry but alas here we are........
Theoretically what Tinubu has done will benefit Nigeria in the long run
Realistically many people go don kpai of hunger before that long run gets here
There are 3 types of leaders Nigeria should never have:
1) A professional without empathy 2) A dullard with too much empathy 3) A zombie wey no send una papa
Evaluate the past 15 years and see how each one falls into one of the three above.
MAY GOD HELP US ALL........................................................ You are deceiving yourself. You are removing subsidy and also spending foolishly to buy expensive SUV, jets and yatch from the money you made out of the removal. Una still dey believe in that useless block head jagaban. |

Politics › Re: Protest Over? What Now? by Smartcitizen: 10:46am On Aug 02, 2024 |
Passiveseyi: Protest over? What now?
I think the protest yesterday in Nigeria was pointless.
I even heard that some used the protest as an avenue to steal in areas in the north,
So observe closely.
You see,
Having a campaign with hashtag “END BAD GOVERNANCE” can never work.
I sincerely feel a great way to protest will be to protest one issues at a time.
Example:
Some time back, hardship became worse than usual and people felt that
they was too much suffering and were being paid too little as price of everything has gone up.
So a certain organization protested and ask that the minimum wage be increased,
some workers even went on strike.
Now, a few week later,
The minimum wage was increased by a staggering 130%.
Even if was still small, it was an improvement.
And we can say it’s a successful protest.
But when you come out to protest and not have something specific reasons,
it’s just chaos and no results.
I don’t like bad governance but understand that you can not go far blaming the government.
You are your responsibility.
There are two options
We either keep managing with the system while praying for our leaders to make the right choices.
or future leaders to do better.
Or we start working on finding solutions to the problems around us to yield more revenue for the country.
We are more of a producer than a consumer and this is why the dollar keeps depreciating and naira getting devalued.
Imagine what 70k as minimum wage would be able to afford when dollar was approximately N200/$.
We need to strive to produce more.
If we don't have the capital to get started,
We can start by,
Driving Innoson or Nord,
Calling with Glo,
Building with Dangote and BUA,
Eating breakfast with Nasco,
Eating Lunch and dinner with made in Nigeria rice, even if it has stones,
Going on dates at Tantalisers and Suya spots,
Drinking Zobo,
Celebrating with palm wine,
Flying Air Peace over Air France, KLM, or Lufthansa
Shoping at local markets,
Eating cassava bread over foreign wheat bread,
Watching Enyimba and Kano Pillars,
Seeing Nollywood movies at Silverbird,
Streaming Nigerian music,
Wearing aso oke, agbada, babanriga, or isi agu,
I believe this will is strongly increase our GDP.
If we don't choose not to do this,
The only alternative is to find a way to earn in dollars or any other foreign currency.
Sadly, tons of people will keep complaining because they can't take the stress of giving themselves to learning.
I don't know much about politics but I believe this will go a long way
Nigeria will still become great again.🔥 The best way the leaders change their citizens to their slaves is to change their minds. |

Softmirror: Tinubu will be reelected. All he needs do is put food in their mouth. That is all. Very simple. Food and that is all.
. When Tinubu starts sharing the goodies to those who laboured for it, you people as usual will come out and start crying your heart's out " WE ARE BEING MARGINALIZED " . You are fond of always wanting to reap from where you didn't so. Reaping from where you did not sow, is that your new slogan? You have used this statement on many people today o!.. My problem with most of you is that you don't live in the north and you don't know about the north. Like El-Rufia said, YOU ARE DEALING WITH A REGION THAT NEVER FORGIVE AND FORGET EASILY. I pray most of you will have the heart to accommodate what will happen to Tinubu in coming years? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 |

kennyz247: Igbo has always been on the fence. That's why it will be very difficult or impossible for an Igbo man to become the President of this nation or any Nigeria to trust an Igbo man,Imagine all d protest going on in almost every part of the country, even kastina, the home to buhari came out to show their grievance on bad government, osum state too came out to protest too, despite been the home to Mr president and other states, but no state in the easthern part of the country participated in ongoing nation wide protest, this is very bad from my Igbo brodas..d hardship is everywhere,we all need to speak in one voice to make Nigeria a better place for we all.... MOST OF YOU ARE STILL SUFFERING AND STRUGGLING WITH THE REALITY.
