Politics / Re: What Happened To The $1.036B Borrowed By BAT Govt To Invest In Dangote Refinery by Smithkafors(m): 2:24pm On Jul 16
LegendHero:
You uploaded a document yourself and yet you still can't read the details. I don't know why God bless Nigeria with educated people who can’t comprehend.

Let me summarize your post for other Nairalanders.

—NNPC acquired 20% stakes in Dangote in 2021 which was valued at $2.76bn

—NNPC paid $1.036bn to Dangote then which represent 7.51% stakes and promised to pay the rest when Dangote refinery start working in April 2023. Well we are already in July 2024 and the refinery still never start work.

—Mind you, even that $1.036bn NNPC paid, they borrowed the money from Lekki Refinery funding ltd and they are using crude oil for payment monthly.

So why are you still asking for the $1.036 borrowed when Dangote clearly stated himself that FG has 7.2% stake in his refinery?

Show us where Dangote said the Nigerian Government owns 7.5% stake. The way you guys supports corruption and support illegitimacy is not good. Everything is not politics.

The same Dangote who is part of Economic team. Nigerians dey play.

I asked again, what has Tinubu done differently from Buhari?.

What part of Tinubu’s policy or anything working in Nigeria?.

The ball is in your court.

Buhari 8yrs wasted, Tinubu 4yrs wasted= 12yrs of wasted life in Nigeria without even light or water.

Remove the population of Igbos in SW and the kidnapping cases would drop to just 15

If they claim their population could boost IGR,GDP and other indices in the SW, it should be able to boost the negative indices too. Not like they are mutually exclusive

Thats sound logic. Not some selective narrations

You guys and tribalism.

The ones being skulled from SE too. Total death recorded in SE remains very low compared to SW. But you will never see SE talking about it.

immortalcrown:
Good!

But let it not be selective justice. What will happen to the government workers that approved those buildings?

Meanwhile, at least 50% of the houses in Lekki should go down.

If 50% house in lekki goes down, will you give 50% of lekki occupants a house to shelter them?.
People wey never build house go just dey talk Cho Cho Cho.

What have they built on the ones they pulled down?

Did they build any new drainage on the ones?.

Apart from pulling down houses, what is Lagos state using the high IGR for?. Show me any major infrastructure they have built to tackle this issue since 10yrs.

Absolutely nothing!!!.

Long overdue

At the same time, LASG should also fish out the criminals in the land department who always approve the building even though na wrong place

Who told you that?. How many roads does Lagos state build in a year?.
Most of the roads in the estates and other major roads was built by individuals.
What has Lagos state government built on the ones that they pulled down?.

Did you see any new drainage on the already demolished structures?.

They should first account for the money they generate before pulling down any house.

You never build common road and drainage for major roads na the ones for bush?.

Be deceiving the gullible ones….common road una no get. Build drainage on the major road first.

Lagos state government is not doing enough compared to the amount they develop.

No visible major infrastructure.

SE is really trying. Despite low IGR, still very developed than most states. I hope the insecurities can stop.
