The truth is that if you get correct surveyor most of these things are not hidden and are available in the ministry of lands. It is still the duty of buyers to beware before buying a land.

Just look at sod09 now, he hears that the land is for agriculture purpose and not residential and he still believe there's room for adjustment. That's how most of these developers, omo onile and land buyers behave, it's not as if they dont know that the land is designated for something else but they either believe the govt might not remember the land or that when the govt comes, adjustment will be made. When demolition starts, we will all start blaming the govt.

I’m also always of this opinion but when u say these things , people who have made it a duty to defend government will say the government does not owe u any warning . They say u are the one that must make it a point of duty to do thorough due diligence .

I also know people rushing to that Epe axis are the next set of people to cry in the future . I watched a video recently and the creator of the video being a surveyor was saying most of the lands in Epe are designated for agriculture . He said in the future when the govt is ready most of those residential properties developed on the land will be pulled down. He said govt according to original plan expects u to farm on those lands .

Epe is still a long term project even if it's for farming there's room for adjustments

You don’t need to be a structural engineer to know that most of the buildings in that Isale Eko lack structural integrity . If u go to some of those areas now , u will see old 3-4 stores buildings that are not in good shape but being inhabited . You will even see some buildings being renovated/upgraded .

For reasons best known to the government they don’t pull down these buildings . At least I frequented that axis for close to 8 years and not one day did I hear that government came to demolish buildings because of structural integrity .

I read the news on front page and I noticed the commissioner for information while confirming the collapse claimed the building had been marked for demolition as not being inhabitable . And that’s the only thing they do, they don’t actually demolish buildings in that axis even when buildings in that axis need the most demolition . It is when incidents like this happen that government will decide to be proactive all of a sudden
