Let me give you and example of cultural heritage with emphasis on Gun violence. Take a look at Canada, infact almost all of the countries surrounding the United States of America. The gun violence in America is so high. It's simply because of the American gun culture even though it is declared as a 'CHRISTIAN NATION'.

Iran, Afghanistan also have underlining cultural heritage of such violence against women. Why did you mention Mecca the birth place of Prophét Muhammad as an example? What about Mali or Niger?! When you look holistically using a common denominator 'muslim countries' it becomes clear. That's why you couldn't make a quick long list or even say all 'muslim countries' are into honor killings.
