I feel it's important to raise awareness about the alarming rate of scams happening on this platform. Far too many individuals are creating fake profiles and using multiple monikers to pose as genuine people just to carry out fraudulent activities.

Sadly, I speak from experience. I’ve been scammed here before, losing my hard-earned money while trying to do honest business with someone I believed was sincere. What pushed me to share this now is a recent incident that nearly caught me off guard again.

Someone posted about selling a mini WiFi device similar to mine, and I innocently shared the issue I was facing with mine, hoping for a solution. Almost immediately, I began receiving DMs from supposed “software engineers” offering to fix the problem for a fee upfront. If not for my instincts and past experience, I might have fallen for it again.

Please, my fellow Nairalanders, be extremely cautious with your transactions and interactions here. Verify before you trust. May we never be unfortunate.
