Sincerely it's not all about money. It's not. Your physical presence plays a lot of role in some situations. If genuinely this man can step down so as to up hold his family then, he is truly a man of value. You sound like someone that can't do that.

Now you are asking the right question.

1. Subsidy removal is not a bad idea, but Tinubu's approach was wrong (it should have been gradual so as to reduce the impact on the poor masses). Albeit, since that is the status quo, they need to implement the minimum wage NOW and make sure it is also paid at state level by supporting the states or using a harmonized wage structure.

2. Diesel prices are significantly stable, let them roll out enough public buses in their thousands to each state (not like the unseen ones they did that had no effect cos). This would reduce the effect on the public commuters and serve as palliative measure in the meantime.

3. They need to stop dashing out money to BDCs, the effect is too little to be considered a solution, it doesn't work in the long run. Also, funding religious trips annually is a very silly idea that should be scrapped. The money can be redirected in a much favourable way to the economy.

4. Electricity supply should be thoroughly worked on. Half of petrol buyers are using it to fuel their generators, if power is stable, people would complain less about the cost of petrol.

5. Border security and foreigners taxes need to be improved upon. We need to know those enjoying our commonwealth, how much they are earning and increase their taxes, just like it's done in developed countries. Nigeria is too open, too.many economic scavengers are enjoying what should belong to us...

6. Naira needs to be redenominated. This has been avoided for long, but it's now inevitable. We can't afford to have a Naira that sounds big but is just chicken change. N100k today is more like 10k 5 years ago in terms of purchasing power, so why are we fooling ourselves? While this isn't what makes the economy stable, it helps to understand nthe true value of your currency, so you don't throw big figures around and feel like millionaires while you only have a few hundreds of dollars. Ghana did this and it put their currency in a better shape.

This is what I can tell you in the meantime... If Tinubu pays me, I can offer more economic advice. 😁
Is it possible to see the effect of all these things over night because that is what Nigerians want to see.

LOL... A proud economist here and I graduated top of my class, I'd literally bury your professor in a public economic debate, so don't go there.

A year ago, your MUMURIC professor was calling for people to understand the impact of fuel subsidy so why is he complaining now? Confirm for yourself: https://leadership.ng/muric-seeks-understanding-of-nigerians-on-impacts-of-fuel-subsidy-removal/

Your professor should stick to talking about silly issues that have 0 positive impact on the society cos he obviously has nothing meaningful to contribute...
🤣🤣🤣 Is that all? You could tell us your solution? Oga proud economist? 😂😂😂

MURIC is one of the problems of the South-West. He should be jailed for spreading hate, religious division and promoting terrorism... But I don't expect religious bigots to agree with the above.
Lol.....😂. Even when you ain't an economist yourself. Lol... i am pointing to your baseless argument on the premises of what he studied. You think Islam has no branch of economy? The Islamic banking system is just an example.

In a nutshell, what should be the solution let us here from you even though he didn't study economics or anything business related.

Yes but those people's votes were not enough to rig him in.

In Lagos, out of 7million registered voters, less than 160,000 fools voted for Tinubu.
Tell me which states voted for him? Is it Osun where his nephew was just removed? Or Kano where kwakwanso held sway?

Tinubu didn't win the elections, Peter Obi won.

What does he know about the economy to talk about it... Oh he is tired of buying fuel at 1k right? Or is the "ISWAP funding" no longer coming in?

Some of una no normal se! He and his supporters are not sane!

So this Professor Ishaq Akintola has now started talking about economic issues and not religious issues affecting Muslims. What Tinubu cannot do...😂

This is a "professor" of Islamic studies who allegedly got funding from ISWAP. I wonder why he is still walking free though... He should be in prison!

After supporting Fulani herdsmen for 8 years of Buhari's tenure, MURIC members in Oyo State started complaining of Fulani herdsmen invasion as well, just to show you how foolish this man is. 🤮
See people that were complaining that he wasn't talking about the economic issues still complaining yet again. 😂😂😂😂

I don't know what your point or argument is here ?

For those places that it was sold for N1,000 as at last week, it would be sold now for N1,200-N1,300. Depot owners like BOVAS or NNPC would sell for N855 - N900 minimum.

Transport fares have risen with over 50% in Lagos. Lekki Axis - Oworonshoki is N1,500. In the past N1,500 was the Cost of travel inter-state i.e Lagos-Ibadan.

PBAT will feel the masses this time. Enough of the hypocrisy, Tinubu condemned the subsidy removed by Goodluck Jonathan to N97 and now has the audacity & guts to raise fuel Price to N900 and was still boasting in China earlier today.
The first question is how was BOVAS able to afford to sell at #680?

Crimecity:
I like how those in the APC are reacting to the petrol scarcity and price hike.

They lambast the NNPC, they criticize the minister of state for petroleum and then strategically remain silent on Tinubu who is the petroleum minister.

Kolework!
People have been buying fuel at, 900, 950, 1100 for weeks before this official price which is very much almost the same. While it's been sold at that price, BOVAS a very reputable filling station was selling at 680, NNPC was selling at 680. Why do we like deceiving ourselves.

I hope you know that it wasn't even the government that initially inflated the price of fuel on inauguration day when Tinubu said "subsidy is gone". Nigerians raised the price so high, so willingly out of selfish interest. In some eastern states the price of a liter of fuel was around 1300 to 1500 way back. Inflated by Nigerias just because Tinubu said "subsidy is gone". undecided

Another educated illiterate. We are talking about Dangote who said that he bought the land upon which he has built his refinery at the price of one hundred million dollars and not Naira from Lagos State. Peguin2 abeg make you reason am from there. grin

10 liters of fuel is N10,000 @ N1,000 per liter.

Reviewed minimum wage for Government is N70,000

So a level 01-08 person on Minimum wage can never own a car and fuel it with 10% of salary as cost of 10 liters of PMS.

The President is being deceived by his Handlers that " Nothing will happen".

The timing of this fuel price hike coincides with Primary and Secondary School resumption on Monday putting more pressure on family disposable incomes.

The coming days will be interesting.
