Politics › Re: Over 100 People Kidnapped And Some Killed In Central Nigeria by SoftSport(m): 9:25am On Jul 23, 2025 |
eejo: Despite my suggestion to Nigeria Security forces the system of fighting kidnapping gangs have not changed. The same road I escaped gun men, Bandits have kidnaped and killed Nigerians in cold blood, Many are still in captivity, Nigeria security forces, without national call centre and a response team cannot win the war on Bandits, kidnapping, and killings. Check point without communication cannot fight crime. My advise to my followers, avoid travelling by road at the moment as many have been killed. Some roads in Kogi, Benue, Nasarawa, Kwara and Niger states are death trap for people travelling by road. It’s heartbreaking that despite all the warnings and suggestions and everything that president Tinubu has done to beef up security, the same deadly patterns continue, staying off those roads for now is sadly the smartest move. |

PlasmaTV: We hope that this reduction in deflation reflects in real market prices, and not just on paper. Absolutely, and the good news is that consistent drops like this are often the first signs that relief is on the way, what starts in the data usually finds its way to the market with a little patience and persistence. This is great news. |

Wow. We can all see that inflation has dropped from over 34% last year to 22.22% now, it’s clear Tinubu’s efforts are starting to show real results, even if things still feel tight. Progress takes time and as they say, every sunrise brings a new chance for change. We are getting there... |

eejo: Yesterday a former president passed away in London and this add to long list of Nigerian leaders who died outside their Father land because they failed to develop our Healthcare system. Nigerians are dying every day due to poor healthcare system but leaders don't care because of overseas treatment but I have a message for the leaders, some Healthcare Emergencies requires urgent action and the day it happens death might occur before your plane lands abroad. Mr president fix our Healthcare system and save lives because you never know when Healthcare emergency can happen. healthcare needs to be a priority before it’s too late for all of us. Interestingly, Tinubu is massively investing in that area. |

LagosOrigin: are this things that you point out here reflecting in the life of Yoruba people ?
That's the point while not everyone feels it equally yet, especially in rural areas, many Yoruba people are seeing real changes like better roads, more jobs in tech and services, improved access to education and healthcare, and growing business opportunities, especially in cities like Lagos, Ibadan, and Abeokuta. |
Politics › Re: Is Nigeria Really A Crime Against Yoruba? by SoftSport(m): 7:54am On Jul 14, 2025 |
ycat: Why is it that Yorubaland is the only region that has stagnated since independence while other regions have come up? A 1990 constitutional review will not do much, we need a total overhaul with a return to the 1963 constitution or you know. Let’s discuss this. Yorubaland has “stagnated” since independence doesn’t quite stack up when you look at today’s numbers. Here’s the reality: Yorubaland is actually doing quite well Lagos alone clocks in at a GDP of over \$250 billion in 2025, bigger than around 40 African countries, with nearly 50% growth in just five years under Governor Sanwo‑Olu thanks to PPPs, a booming tech scene, and infrastructure investment . The Southwest (all six states) contributes \~25% of Nigeria’s total GDP, with a combined regional GDP over \$250 billion . Per‑capita GDP rankings place Oyo at about \$2,560, Ondo at \~\$6,077, Ogun \~\$5,288, Osun \~\$2,691, firmly in the upper‑middle range nationally . |
