Some people takes gentility for stupidity, I love the minister's composure on this

I can not but appreciate the fact that if this administration doesn't get anything right, but with this particular minister, I must confess they he's the best that has ever happened to us in the recent time

This is the kind of progress people notice without being told. You can see the changes in how systems work, how officers are treated, and how services reach citizens. It’s not perfect, but it’s clearly more intentional and focused than before.

Very good initiative, sir. Enhancing our paramilitary institutions through continuous training and performance-focused reforms is truly commendable. Your dedication to efficiency, integrity, and innovation is redefining excellence in Nigeria’s public service.

Leadership isn’t about the crown but the weight it carries. Under Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, the Ministry of Interior has moved from talk to tangible reforms, 204k passport backlogs cleared, safer borders, modernized prisons, empowered officers, and stronger national institutions.

This centralisation move is long overdue. For 62 years, multiple passport centres created loopholes, delays & inefficiency. A single hub with 5,000 daily capacity is a smart step toward accountability, faster delivery & restoring credibility to our travel documents.

This kind of high-level diplomatic engagement is a step in the right direction. Strengthening collaboration on visa integrity, secure documentation, and overstay management reflects Nigeria's growing commitment to global standards. Kudos to Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo and the US Mission for fostering mutual respect and responsibility in international mobility.

A clear testament to what visionary leadership and digital transformation can achieve. Issuing 3.5 million passports in just two years while saving over ₦1 billion annually proves that when governance is driven by accountability and innovation, results speak louder than rhetoric.

This is the kind of bold, structured reform Nigeria has long needed. Offering an immigration amnesty is both humane and strategic, giving overstayed a fair window to comply–while the clear consequences after July 31 show that Nigeria is finally taking its immigration laws seriously. The shift to full automation and the cost-saving measures reflect a new era of accountability, efficiency, and national pride. Minister Tunji-Ojo isn’t just changing systems; he’s raising standards.

A commendable step that reinforces the value of digital reforms and interagency synergy in upholding institutional integrity and ensuring accountability within Nigeria’s correctional system.

I commend Minister Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo for taking swift action to address the Koton Karfe jailbreak. His commitment to using biometric technology and strengthening security measures reassures Nigerians that every escaped inmate will be recaptured, and such incidents will be prevented in the future.

The escape of 12 inmates from the Koton-Karfe facility is deeply concerning, but I’m relieved that five have been recaptured. There’s an urgent need for a thorough investigation and stronger security measures to prevent future breaches. I also urge everyone to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activities to help keep our communities safe.

I think Tinubu’s reforms, as highlighted by Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, are game-changing. Clearing passport backlogs, resolving 19-year promotion delays, and automating NIS services show real progress. The para-military academy, mass recruitment, and Mining Marshals initiative further enhance security. Ensuring the continuity of these reforms is essential for lasting national impact. However, I wish the other Ministers would buckle up like this man to make Nigeria great for me and for everyone.

I believe optimizing custodial facilities by reducing underutilized centers and redistributing inmates will improve efficiency and resource management. However, it's crucial that these reforms focus on rehabilitation, humane treatment, and better infrastructure to ensure a truly effective and just correctional system.
