Nairaland General › Woman Who Survived Ebola Mourns For Her Slain Dog by spartoo(op): 4:32pm On Oct 23, 2014
Madrid - The husband of the Spanish nursing
assistant who beat Ebola says his wife now
knows that authorities killed their dog Excalibur
while she was in the hospital and is questioning
that decision.
In an interview published Thursday by the
Spanish newspaper El Pais, Javier Limon says he
finally told Teresa Romero after she tested
negative for Ebola this week that their mixed
breed dog was euthanized two days after her
Oct. 6 hospitalization.
Limon said "she is asking herself why they killed
the dog, who wasn't to blame for anything."
Spanish officials had said the dog was a possible
risk for transmitting the deadly virus.
In the United States, the dog of a nurse infected
with Ebola was quarantined and tested negative.

Lemon12:
An Igbo man, a Yoruba man and
an Hausa man were lost in a forest
and then captured by cannibals.
The king of the cannibals told the
prisoners that they could live if
they pass a trial. The first step was to go
deep into the forest and get
ten pieces of the same kind of
fruits.
The three men went their separate
ways to gather fruits. The Yoruba
man came back and said to the king, “I
brought 10 apples.”
Then the king explained the trial to
him, “You have to swallow the
fruits without any expression on
your face or you will be killed. The
first apple went in, but on the second one,
he winced out in pain,
so he was killed.
The Igbo man arrived and showed
the king ten berries. When the king
explained the trial to him, he
thought to himself that this should be
easy…. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8and on
the ninth berry, he burst out in
laughter and was killed.
The Yoruba man and Igbo man
met in heaven and the Yoruba man
asked, “Why did you laugh? You almost got
away with the trial.” The
Igbo man replied, “I couldn’t help it,
when I saw the Hausa man
coming with Watermelons!”

Nairaland General › God Help Nigeria by spartoo(op): 11:03am On Oct 05, 2014
Everything happens for a reason. Everything is said for a reason. I do not think we have to use the same phrase the americans use simply because it is likeable. After each presentation by our politicians, most especially, the next statement is "God bless Nigeria". Our dear country Nigeria is blessed with various forms of resources - be it natural or human. Our problems stem from our inability to enjoy the benefits due to the corruption eating deep in our country's bowels. I think the right phrase would be... GOD HELP NIGERIA
