I'm not sure this is an accurate take on the issue. Lets be honest the NPF and by extension the MPF aka SARs or Operation Sweep etc. can probably be said to be one the root causes of insurgency and terrorism and youths taking to criminality. Simply because they are not professional

If we remember the first upsurge of BH so many years back the same NPF lined these young boys up and summarily executed them ..right in front of international press cameras of Al Jazeera etc... is that not enough to push others into terrorism.

In fact from another angle we could say the police have been terrorising citizens for long in Nigeria every small thing na slap punch kick rifle butt...or the worst : "Fayar am"

Remember it was police that caused the protest that some unscrupulous ones used as cover to perpetrate terror acts in the name of End Sars protest

Remember what Fela Anikulapo Kuti went through in police hands.. Police and their lack of professionalism (whether mobile or regular) is one of the vital missing links that is preventing us from achieving the Nigeria of our dream. Why do we for example, need EFCc if Police are actually doing their job..at the most it will be a department
