jpmoriarti:
Especially David.

David and his men killed 200 Philistine men and brought their foreskins to King Saul as proof of the kill and as payment for a bride, when he was only asked to bring 100 (1 Samuel 18). Remember he wasn't a ruler yet here o. Imagine killing men and removing their foreskins. Tueehh.

David was a cruel human being. No Christian should ever imitate him.

I can give countless examples of his wickedness and cruelty in the scripture.
God gave him a wonderful son who was worse than David, Absalom dealt with David. Anytime I read that part I Just laugh.

You seem to be a truthful person.

Still, don't you think the laziness and instability in the children is promted by their mothers who have money to pay for nonsense

So, blame the teachers the less.

People who submit their children to me don't regret. Their results have never been woeful. If you want, I can send you the current jamb score from my end

I teach sometimes and I teach the better part of what people have done on ground. Not all teachers are at fault. One thing is that i don't encourage malpractice and laziness
well done, that's a welcome development. I agree with you not all teachers are bad. Parents need to do better in nurturing their wards. The issue of marriage instability and parent neglect are major factors. I tutor kids as a private tutor. I have clients that don't even have time for their children. It is well.

Jamb still has a long way to go as far as Computer based assessment is concerned.
All effective CBT systems are fully automated minimizing or completely eliminating human interference.
Every CBT result should be displayed immediately a student clicks the submit button, this will build trust in the exam process.
There's no logical reason why students would have to wait for days to get their results in a CBT unless ofcourse someone wants to manipulate the results.
JAMB manipulate results people know this. Results should be released immediately

that's why I have multiple streams of income but ain't easy bro the stress plus I barely have time for myself. Nigeria is actually decent to live if you are earning well if am earning half what the pope is earning monthly in a year I can still survive with that with no complaint and hustle wisely. Make a plan of half of my earnings monthlybis going into investment...

Judging by the standards of the shitty job I work it will take 77 years to achieve the feat of earning what pope leo XIV in just one month and this is still subject to change cuz dollar is always rising so it might take me up to 100 years. Nigeria is such a useless country. Pope can afford not to touch a dime out of it in one month but me as salary dey enter gbese don full ground.

I regret to say you seem to lack direction in your blame game whereby all agents involved are faulty.

You can't have an ideal state to pass exam. The level of development of the nation is not far from what is available for learning yet.

I was hoping you would point at the education governing body for not sitting up to justice and transparency in its management

We still have children in the developed world that suffer mental derailment. Thus, blaming the failure on diet and chemical reagents in foods is not sufficient to be listened to in a third world.

I would advise you suggest achievable approaches within our affordability.

I can assure you, these children will pass this exam once their school managers or owners, parents and exam invigilators stand their ground off supporting malpractices.

But if you mean to speak outside of this scope of passing JAMB, you are welcome.
JAMB has lost its relevance. We pay too much attention on theoretical learning than the real stuffs. Imagine a physics student who connect a circuit in series. Regulate private schools, put students in the right class and we should stop.allowing underage to be wrong classes... The issue of.malpractice can't be removed in Nigeria but can be minimized.

On No.1, can you elaborate on your recommendation? I will be glad to hear from you.
Thanks
education needs to be rebranded. The usual custom of teacher passing instruction through the blackboard to students is not working. Students these days have low attention span and are easily distracted. The first thing that should be inculcated into the learning curriculum is discipline. Make learning easier and simplified. It is not easy but with time it will improve learning. Teachers should give students detailed guidelines and simplified summary of lesson. The students can work with the teacher' guide and be more creative with their learning also importance of blended learning and flipped classroom. We need to build children who can think outside the box and become problem solvers not the teachers spoon feeding the children. Am a teacher and I can say teachers do a lot for children in fact we think for them. Private schools should be regulated there are too many of them and lots are substandard.
Education › Re: What Are The Factors Responsible For Mass Failure In 2025 UTME by sprints1: 5:51pm On May 07, 2025
I am a teacher let me share my opinion on this matter
1. The educatuonal system is a fallacy: our system of passing meaningful instructions to kids need to change. Time has changed so education needs to change as well. The insistence on rote learning and constant memorization has disrupt children's learning pattern. I did a seminar on this a long time ago. I emphasized on the need to focus on child - centered learning rather than teachers giving instructions on a platter. This is 21st century, the emergence of AI has affected children' development and teachers should as well stop incorporating many of it into learning.

2. Lack of critical thinking skills and millennial parenting: Millenials are the worst set of parents followed by the current Gen Z. These parents value money more than their wards. They leave everything to the their children class or lesson teachers. These children are lazy, can't think and have zero emotional intelligence. They don't understand the importnace of core values and show no discipline. These children spend half a day on useless programs such as freefire CODs, Blood strike and Tiktok challenge. Parents have destroyed the lives of these children exposing these kids to Cartoons and anime at early stage of development... Parents instead of looking for regular ways to nuture a child they will give a child of a year plus phone to be watching cartoons on YouTube. These things damaging effect on children... The sensorimotor stage of a child should be properly assessed. Engage these children in masonry toys, fixing puzzles building patterns, molding and identifying objects but no these parents prefer to buy a tablet filled with rubbish cartoons affecting the chromosome 6 and 8 of a child...

Children diet: The food these children eat are not good enough they are laced with lead and other supplements which calcify the pineal gland causing inbalance in the endocrine system. The fluoride in toothpaste and water are just too much for a child, you can all research on that. These destroys the ability of child to think well.

Education is still very important in life but must be restructured. We have failed as a generation to help these children. A survey currently shows 1 out of 10 children has ADHD which causes the child to restive more than they should be. The syndrome of parents trying to place children in classes they shouldn't be is also affecting them. JAMB should be scrapped it has lost its relevance.

bestfriday:
1. Poor Mentorship: Many tutors are not qualified enough; some may not even be able to pass basic entrance exams like JAMB themselves. This leads to poor guidance for students.

2. Misuse of Social Media: Many Nigerians have misplaced priorities when it comes to using social media. Instead of using these platforms for educational or professional growth, they often engage in distractions.

3. Poor Orientation: Some students rely solely on past questions instead of reading textbooks. Shockingly, some do not even own a single textbook. They look for shortcuts and are often tempted to cheat rather than learn.

4. Lack of Parental Support: At times, emotional and financial support from parents is crucial for academic success—such as paying for quality lectures and providing standard textbooks. Unfortunately, many parents are too busy with their own lives to offer this support.

5. Weak Educational Foundation: The quality of education from primary to secondary school is generally poor, leaving students unprepared for higher learning
u are right but JAMB credibility has to be question I once wrote JAMB as far back as 16 years ago and it was compromised they had to add marks to everyone score about 7 marks was added to.mine a friwnd of mine 42 marks was added to his own
