JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Resident/House Manager
Immediate Supervisor: Executive Assistant to Principal

Objective: To provide gentle yet firm Godly leadership for the domestic staff in the home, modeling good judgment, good work ethic, time management, respect for others especially co-workers.

Hours:
Weekdays: Monday - Saturday
9am-5pm except for days that requires a longer period of stay.

Job Description and Duties:

Household/Property Supervision and Maintenance:

Meal planning, creating and purchasing grocery lists

Routine checks on staff quarters

Creating a menu with the cook on weekly basis

Liaising with vendors/ artisans on house repairs and closing up on repairs in a timely manner.

Assigning household responsibilities to other staff according to their role and overseeing their efforts, training as needed.

Communicating every need or situation that arise with the employers.

Supervise repairs in the residence

Overseeing the efficient and appropriate handling of purchased resources including groceries, household goods etc.

Rotate pantry items, items in the refrigerators and freezers, checking expiration dates

Conducting house checks as needed

Communicating staff related issues to employers.

Anything else deemed appropriate and necessary pertaining to the Objective of this position.

Oversee and support any dinners or events being held in the residence.

Qualifications:
● Previous experience as a house manager or similar role.
● Attention to details and being able to provide step by step guidance to staff on tasks and assignments.
● Skilled negotiator, ability to negotiate with vendors, resourceful and able to do more with less.
● Proactive and organized.
● Strategic in planning of staff schedule holiday and assignment.
● OND, HND or BSC in Home management or any other related courses.

Experience: Basic knowledge of Home Management.

Remuneration : NGN80,000 - NGN100,000
