Those things you mentioned are things you can live without and survive because there are alternatives. You can survive without watching DSTV/GOTV - you have your phone to stream programmes online. People can live without eating bread.


But how will people's lives look like if for the next 3 months if there's no MTN, Glo, Airtel network and services in Nigeria.

Businesses will collapse, people will lose money. It'll affect banks and POS which means you won't be able to either withdraw cash or carryout online transactions.

Because people can't access their money, they'll find it difficult buying food and other things...which means there will be many hungry and angry people and this might lead to chaos.

You cannot make calls or send text messages...

Those working remotely will lose their jobs. Unless they're using alternatives like Starlink which is more expensive.

I could go on and on about the implication...

So because you can't leave without them you just allow them continue fleecing you?


Many people can live without Data. A very large percentage of data users spend majority of their data on watching tiktok, Instagram, Facebook videos etc. The volume of data they use to do meaningful things is less than 25% of total data purchase

People can choose to cut down on volume or f data purchased and how much time they spend online


Continually saying 'we can't leave without it's gives the big companies avenues to keep misbehaving

The lack of patience and unwillingness to sacrifice short term pleasure to stand for something that would be greatly beneficial in the long time is the reason why we're where we are as as society.

Change requires sacrifice. It requires putting aside instant gratification for long term satisfaction.

Dstv and gotv increased their prices cuz of same 'issues'. When people acted and refused to subscribe,they had no option but to revert to the old prices

I had workers from benin republic who told me that bread makers in their country decided to increase their prices. The people shunned them and told them to eat their breads alone. The bread makers eventually folded and started reselling at the old price.

Our govt won't help us. We have to help ourselves
