Thanks bro, I really appreciate your advise
Realtalk20:
You are just a child and have your whole life ahead of you

Yes dabble into repaired coding whatever till you find your passion..

Don't take anything too seriously, learn to know yourself 100% this will help you

Find what drives your passion and makes you tick

You still have alot of girls to screw (or boys I don't know your preference) parties to crash , jobs to loose , cash to make and loose , times to get drunk , pets to own , love to fall into and out of

My point is at 19 you still have a whole wide world of experience at your finger tips and there has never been a better time to be alive than now with internet and tech penetration in Africa .you can even apply for a tech scholarship if you find that's what makes you happy

My point is first seek your happiness, identify what makes you happy and all your triggers ... Understand who you are then the rest will follow

Don't take anything too seriously

Cheers and I wish you all the best kiddo

OP should go to school.
Try university this time.
Money no de run.
My forefathers chased it, my father chased it. you know what? It still hasn't finished.
U said money ain't your problem. Fact is, you can b in school and still develop yourself.
Nor let dropouts advise u, before you'd end up frustrated.
Most of all, this is my opinion, I stand to be corrected, it could be debated. It's not final. So follow your heart

amen, thanks bro

If your interest is in IT world. I would advise you get a academic certification on it. You might prolly run a diploma in Computer science.

Outside school, focus on Web and App Development and Graphics.

The reason why I advised you get certificate is that you might be employed based on your certification in case you need to work in IT firm.

We shall all make it one day!

Okay bro, thanks [qquote author=SKhanmi post=94779803]Find out what aligns with your innate skills or what you love doing. And go for it. If you go into coding for the money, Expect a burnout. It's not rosy at all. Except you love eating breathing & thinking in code literally.

Someone who loves to sketch/doodle will easily get drawn to graphic,UI/Ux, product design

Analytical & loves mathematics- AI, programming, Big Data

Hands on - hardware, CCTV etc

Sly fingers- SARS, police grin

You get my drift?

Read Mastery by Robert Greene to understand more of what I laid down here. Cheers[/quote]

Noted sis, I really appreciate
UndauntedYOCA:
Amen, you too. Let me also chime this in, whatever opportunity I have had, the best people I have met, the help I have received etc, I got from having gone to school. During my service year, I met the best bosses ever (military personnel).
My eyes are more open because I am academically inclined. When you go to school, people will listen to you if you also acquire skills and are really good at what you do and pick you over someone who only has skills. Please don't ignore this advice. You won't regret it.
