Lawalmd: got mine from elijahdre yesterday and loving the phone, incase we have any one interested in rooting vroot seems to be the only option that worked all others failed to root so my advise is to get vroot apk and run it but i think you will need internet for it to root the phone sha,

man usin a 1gig ram phone is awesome.....no lag man!!!!!! playin all kinda games

Procedure:

° Download and Install Mobile Uncle Tools
° Download and place CWM.img in the root of your SD card.
° Rename it "Recovery.img" without quotes.
° Open Mobile Uncle Tools
° Goto Recovery Update. you should see recovery. img
° Flash it. You should see a pop up. Reboot to recovery.
°Enjoy

Kiggster: I used Vroot.

First, Install Root Master. After first root attempt and it doesn't work, Install Vroot replacing Root Master. If that still doesn't grant you root access, revert back to Root Master and try again.
