Igbo must leave Lagos’: Don’t allow another ‘Civil War’, Igboezue, to Tinubu, Sanwo-OluThe Igboezue International Association Nigeria and the Diaspora, IIAND, has called on President Ahmed Bola Tinubu and the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, to call the elders and youths who have left the organizers and promoters of the ongoing #EndBadGovernance in Nigeria# nationwide protest to attack Ndigbo living and doing businesses in Lagos State.

IIAND also urged President Tinubu and Governor Sanwo-Olu to warned the people chanting “Igbos must go” to desist from such action, because they are inching close to causing war in Nigeria or between Igbos and Yorubas in Nigeria, adding that people should refrain for acts capable of causing another war in Nigeria because of their support or against a government.

While declaring that no tribe in Nigeria is responsible for the current hardship in the country, it said people should not because of petty jealousy vent their anger on any tribe including Ndigbo because they did not cause the hardship or called Nigerians out to protest against the Federal government.

The angry IIAND, members while addressing newsmen through its Anambra State chapter, Chairman, Chief Ikechukwu Nwafoawa, told President Tinubu led federal government of Nigeria to prevail on the Lagos state Governor, Mr Babajide Sanyo-Olu, whom it alleged his body language tend towards support to ethnic attack against Ndigbo, not to allow another Nigeria civil war to start from his Lagos State.

Chief Nwafoawa, who spoke on behalf of the National President worldwide, IIAND, Chief Pius Okoye, said that the fact that Ndigbo refused to participate in the protest did not stop other people from diverse parts of the country from taking part in the protest, adding taking part in protest is personal decision and optional for people.

“We want to warn that we can never accept or keep quiet to any further attack targeted against Ndigbo anywhere in Yoruba land or any place in Nigeria. We have had enough attack of our people and their property in Yoruba land and other parts of Nigeria, never and we say again, never will Ndigbo accept any further attack in Nigeria.

“Nigeria belongs to all of us. We are even more Nigerian, and even rooted and contributed in the all round development in the states and places where we are being attacked. And we are saying enough is enough on the attack against Ndigbo in Lagos or any place in Yoruba land and Nigeria in general. We are warning that President Tinubu and Babajide Sanwo Olu led Lagos State government should nip in the board the near war some disgruntled elders and youth in Lagos state who are behind the recent “Igbos must go” campaign wants to cause. “The man who brings home ant ridden gays must be ready for the visit of the lizard”. “We are also telling them that they should not touch tiger by the tell because it has consequences. We are warning the people of Lagos State or the Yoruba elders and youths in Lagos State, involved in chanting “Igbos must go” or any other slogan, song or comments indicating or telling Igbos to leave Lagos State or any Yoruba land, that they are close to declaring a war in Nigeria and we will reply them appropriately.

“We want to tell them that we are Igbo, and we will never run away for any tribe in Nigeria. We are even more Nigerian than any other tribe in Nigeria, whoever that is telling us to go or leave any part of Nigeria, must go or leave first. We are Igbos and we can never out of fear leave the country for anybody in Nigeria.

“Different people have their different way of reacting to issues or showing their anger against anything. The fact that some Igbos decided to sit-at-home in the ongoing protest, while others are going about their businesses, does not indicate their support or against the protest or that they are happy with the economic situation or suffering everybody is going through in Nigeria.

“Staying at home or not coming out to join the protest may be their on way of showing anger about the alleged bad government of the present administration or support for more time to be given the administration to improve. Protest is optional, as a race, Igbos have the right to join the protest or decline joining, not everybody may be interested in what others are doing and you cannot force anybody, who feels not interested in joining the protest to join.OME

Igbo Presidency: How best to realise it
…says those telling Ndigbo to leave Lagos State are close to declaring a war in Nigeria

“Nobody has joined Ndigbo to protesting the continued detention of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, and the consequences of the Monday sit-at-home, still being observed in Igbo land, is telling only on Igbo economy and other Nigerians have not shown and are not showing any concern. So if anybody calls for a protest and Ndigbo declines form joining, it is not a crime.

“We also want to use this forum to thank Ndigbo everywhere they are in Nigeria for obeying, our appeals, the Ohaneze Ndigbo, other Igbo groups and notable individuals appeals not to join the protest. We want to assure Ndigbo in Nigeria that they have nothing to fear that we own Nigeria like any other tribe, if anybody or group tell us to go or leave anywhere in the country, we also have the right to tell them to go, we own Nigeria and have contributed more than them in Nigeria and they cannot tell us to leave or go from any part of Nigeria.

“IIAND wants to warn again that the people of Lagos state and other Yoruba people supporting the decisive slogan of “Igbo’s must go or whatever”, them wants to start another Nigeria civil war from Lagos state. This is the way wars starts and Yoruba’s in Lagos state want to start it. Nigerians should leave Ndigbo alone and face their problems or challenges. We didn’t cause hunger in the land, Yoruba man is the president of Nigeria, and not an Igbo man.”
