My people abeg I get question. I placed a trade on octofx and hotforex simultaneously. In no time the OCTFX was already in profit but hotforex was at a lose. It took the trade on hotforex sometime to be in profit. Does it mean that the OCTFX is trying to bribe me to register with them because all the trades I placed there just dey enter profit. This my account is for the ongoing competition ( though I was disqualified).
Make the gurus help me throw advise. Is OCTFX reliable. Na wetin you see for demo you go see live?

I think this competition will make me a better trader, once I get stopped out I will just be looking for what I missed or why it happened!

But flipping from the demo to my own live trade is hard AF!

But I am happy with the learning process

Comprehension is hard for some people! Rules state: 0.01 lots per trade and a maximum of 0.05 lots

Same way some people read the bible, leave the beginning and take only the 2nd verse to heart!

As long as I don't go above 0.05 lots in a single position.....
You definition of catching pips is quite amazing....

Let's assume we both see a 10 pips move on EurUsd...

I decide to jump in with 0.05 lots...

System will record just 10 pips....

And you see that same move and decided to jump in with 0.01 lots 5 times..

The system will record 50 pips...

But the truth is you didn't catch more pips than I did...
We caught the same pips....

Now your profit will be calculated

0.05 * 10 at 10 dollars per pips...
I will make 5 dollars

And you will also close at 5 dollars....

You grab....
As long as I don't exceed 0.05...

What's the difference between someone that open 5 positions at the same time on the same pair and someone that opened one Position with 0.05...

But are taking same risk and money management...

Simple maths bro

Maximum lots per trade is 0.01(10 cents) and max combined lots 0.05(50 cents)

That is why I said maybe, and any strategy that takes more than a month to understand is to me too stressful

Keep it simple!

And if a cent account trading funds are too dear to you, then don't bother to trade..better to lose $50-$100 on a cent than lose $1000 on a standard account

Every strategy will have bad days. That's the essence of demoing for a long time.

I agree demo good but not for long, once the strategy works out to your understanding, next should be a cent account

Maybe a month on demo and 1-3 months on a live cent account...live trading is another thing all together! The psychology changes and you might no longer trust your self or the system

Even the demo, I advise people to use funds closer to reality. If you can only afford $300 to trade live, then your demo should be $300 only

Trading $100000 demo gives a false impression and doesn't help you psychologically

Starcomms and i think Reitel? were the dail ups then! Then used to install mt4 and its files in a flash drive to go and use in cybercafes.......nobody knows it all but being profitable is what counts

If you are, then stay humble let others not be intimidated.

For me one of the biggest mistakes I made was always tweaking a good strategy when ever it failed and poor money management

I have never received money in 6hrs self, I have to call and message them before I see funds most days I request by 1pm and get it late at night
