I understand that Nigerians are currently hurting, in pains, but I tell you this are not endless pains, they are not pains unto vanity, but unto gain, talking about the pump price, it is one painful path to walk now because its a path of pain but with treasure at the end, our daily consumption of PMS stands at about 37 million litres per day, if we even blind our eyes to the competitiveness the market will come with which will force down the price, our president is not resting in optimizing the refining capacity of our refineries, this will be gotten right soonest ,as the vandals we see today will soon meet a maximum resistance, we should also remember this is one president who took the bold step and got our refineries fixed which some believed could never work, and for the first time in resent years we started refining locally shifting from the absolute import dependant regime, my hope is further rekindled by the bold step taken so far by Dangote who is currently building a refinery that will be capable of refining 650,000 barrels per day, if my mathematics didn't fail me that will surpass our daily consumption as it stands today, we only consume around 37 million litres a day which is somewhere around 500,000 barrels if the refinery produce 70liters from a barrel of crude, the indices are crystal clear, we have a transparent president, committed one, unlike what we have in time past, I always believe even with miracle you cant eat your cake and expect to have it back without a price tag, even our God Almighty paid dearly by sacrificing his only begotten Son ... enough of subsidizing few pockets in false pretence of subsidizing for Nigerians . .. http://talkarenang..com.ng/2016/05/subsidy-or-deregulation.html |
Attitude... |
I always try to agree with the School of thought that believe Majority of the challenges we face today as a Nation could be half solved if we as a People develop the right attitude, looking at various dictionary meaning of attitude, One very sticking definition to me is the one that described attitude as the “state of mind” that is mind-set. The mind itself is more like a central processing unit, in short it’s to me regarded as the bank where ideas either good or bad are conceived, this explains why the Bible says as a man thinketh in his heart so he is. The rhetorical questions to me are: what do Nigerians think about Nigeria? What do we think about our Institutions, our leaders, ourselves, a song writer ones wrote “light your world, let the light of God shine through you, in every little things, though your light may just be reaching one or two, light your world, in your own little office what is your attitude towards it, as a Cleaner, a Messenger, a Boss, we must also bear in mind that the leaders we see today were ‘mere’ Nigerians yesterday ”; how was their mind-set like before assuming leadership position, because this could explain why most Nigerians either as an office attendant must create an avenue to make sure the palms are well grease before a file could move from one desk to another, one man amassing wealth, building duplexes, mansions all over, structures they might never live in till they pass on to eternity. Sometimes I am forced to pause and ask myself, how did we get to this sad point in our human race, with the news coming from the revelations made by some Individuals with the present antigraft war lead by President Muhammed Buhari, I ask which mind-set will make someone stocked Foreign Currency in Soakaway. I suggest the best way in ending this novels inhumanity done to mankind is to develop the right mind-set as a people, the mind-set that will reflect and cultivate the right attitude, the attitude that conquer the giant called greed, fear of tomorrow, fear like I said is nothing but false evidences appearing real, illusion, it never exist, little wonder some said the natural human mind is wicked , most times when you look at it, it does appear we are all guilty, either as an accomplice or otherwise. In conclusion, I still strongly believe, we might not need angels from heaven to change Nigeria but a repented devil with a new right attitude, having a people with repented mind-set is just all we need. Let me drop my pen here, you can add your contributions. http://talkarenang..co.ke/2016/05/solution-to-nigeria-problems-nigerians.html?m=1 |
