It's the law makers that have the constitutional right to impeach or suspend a governor according to the constitution

I'd leave lawyers to care about what the constitution says about removing insensitive leaders who care more about politics than the lives of ordinary people. I just wish their suspension was indefinite.

If the judiciary and the legislative aren’t sleeping or not a part of this national mess, they should have reigned supreme but the Supreme Court is only supreme to suppress the interest of the people at the command of the highest bidder and the incumbent.

The truth always prevails anytime, it does not matter how long it takes for lies to be known for what they are and all those that played a part in enthroning lies and unconstitutionality.

Where were you when the Rivers state assembly complex built with Rivers taxpayers money was demolished by a "democratically elected " governor ?

Where were you when a "democratically elected " governor withheld the salaries of democratically elected lawmakers of a state ?

Where were you when your "democratically elected " governor conducted Local government elections without recourse to our laws as it concern elections?

Now, you're talking about "constitutionality" now that God used Tinubu to save the lives of thousands of families of Rivers state workers who would have died of hunger as a result of non payment of their salaries.

That's not enough excuse for Rivers people to die of hunger. Both the legislative arm and the executive arm were not ready to put the people first, so their removal was in order.

So, according to the constitution, when there's a financial mess, the president should declare a state of emergency, remove a democratically elected governor, deputy, and lawmakers, and then appoint a retired military man who isn't even a financial expert to fix it? Wonderful.

A democratically elected tyrannical governor who doesn't care about the welfare and wellbeing of his people, court judgements and orders, should be removed without recourse to the law.

This man doesn't even understand what political and financial mess Rivers state was in before the president intervened. If not for his suspension, Fubara would have been chasing public sympathy instead of reconciling with the legislative arm of Rivers state government to pave way for the presentation of the 2025 budget for CBN to release funds to his government so that workers will get their salaries. A lot of Rivers people would have committed suicide by now.

I support the suspension of Fubara and the 27 lawmakers and i wish the suspension stay till 2027 so the people can elect people oriented leaders.

Before making a hasty conclusion about anyone on this faceless forum, don't be too lazy to do "background check" on such person by going through the person's post and comment on nairaland. I am a full blooded Ikwerre man and top ranking officer in the public service. Wike is someone I have had the privilege of knowing since his time as the council chairman of ObioAkpor. There is nothing I do not know about my kins man. Even some of his classified dealings that the press can not report, I have commented about numerous of them here
The only people supporting Wike today are those political urchins who are directly dependent on him for financial survival, these categories of subhuman can never see good in whatever Fubara is doing in Rivers state as far as they are no longer benefiting from the corrupt system

The most wicked politician in the history of Rivers state is the person who refused to implement minimum wage through out his 8 years term, refused to employ Rivers people into the civil service despite collecting N5b yearly meant to charter for the recruitment and promotion in to the civil service, He refused to promote anyone, infact the Rivers state public services was precariously hopeless under him. Rivers state internally generated revenue was under reported to enable him steal with reckless abandon. Fubara was God sent to liberate our state and right the maladministration of wickedness.
