US MARKET TO BE GREEN TODAY
This new year, our approach to the market is going to be guarded more by data and not stories.

Small stocks like all those penny stocks that people used to shout about in the early days of this forum. Unfortunately most of the specialists in "penny stocks seems to have been dumped by the market (we are sorry for them, I hope they get new capital and courage to start again!!!).

The Semiconductor industry is still king of the market at the moment. A good stock among them is "MU" one of the best.

· The NGX All-Share Index closed at 153,539.83 points on December 24, up 0.12%.
· The total market value reached N97.89 trillion.
· Year-to-date gains are 49.17%.
· Equity investors gained N953 billion during the three-day Christmas trading week.
· Market capitalization went up 0.98%.
· There were 44 gainers versus 30 losers.
· Trading volume dropped 70.8% and the value traded fell 79.12% compared to the previous week.
· The Consumer Goods sector led gains.
· Guinness Nigeria was the top gainer, rising 9.98% to N318.60.
· International Breweries gained 9.85%.
· The Consumer Goods sector index rose 3.34% for the week.
· The Banking sector was up 1.72%.

· Brent crude oil traded around $60 to $62 per barrel on December 29.

In simple language, the message here is that APC is defeatable especially if unpopular candidates are imposed. Now some powerful candidates are campaning underground plainly on their personalities/achievements (with little reference to "Party", maybe Wike style will enter APC too), waiting for the " party" to come and play the spoiler game. Buy Land and it will appreciate but note the followings:
1) Buy the one that gives you outright ownership
2) Never ever, buy those Installmental payment real estate lands. Many of those selling these installment real Estate Lands are dupes, you do not have immediate allocation and you may likely find it to recover any deposit paid
3) Instalment real Estate Companies makes you a slave for ever: after paying for the land, they may cone up with what they call "development/documentations cost" this will be far more than the cost of the land that was initially advertised to you. At this point whala starts.
4) God safe you if you default in paying your instalments, by the time you want to start paying again, you will zhen be told the land is now 3 times the initial amount

Conclussion, Land is good. "But never ever go by the way if the Instalment real estate adverts you see around", the odds are just against you totally. From the initial marketer that collects some commission 'behind the scene" to the hefty development/documentation" fee waiting for you.
