Description
The Geovision GV-EBD4700 eyeball dome IP camera features an IP66 outdoor rated enclosure to protect the vital components of the camera from harsh weather, dust, and humidity. The Geovision GV-EBD4700 includes a Fixed 2.8mm Lens, providing the user with a wide 100° horizontal angle of view. A 1/3" CMOS image sensor allows the camera to record in 2592 x 1944 (5 Megapixel) at up to 30 frames per second.

This camera has exceptional low light capabilities with a color lux rating of 0.05 and a black & white lux rating of 0.03. For environments with little to no light, the GV-EBD4700 features Infrared LEDs with an effective range of 30 meters / 90 feet allowing the camera to continue monitoring the area around the clock. A Removable IR Cut Filter further enhances the image quality by blocking the unusable infrared lighting and only allowing the visible light to pass through.

The GV-EBD4700 includes WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) Pro Enhancement, which enhances the image quality in environments with challenging lighting conditions (such as ultra bright or dark backlighting). It works by combing the darkest part of the image with the brightest part to create one highly detailed image.

This camera can be powered by either the included 12V-DC power adapter or by POE (Power over Ethernet) 802.3AF. The POE feature allows the installer to run both data and power over one CAT5-E cable, however, this will require a POE compliant network switch or injector.

The GV-EBD4700 includes a 32 channel central management software with a multitude of features and is remotely viewable from PC's, iPhone, iPad, Android and 3GPP mobile devices.

Just to advise you the S-COMM6 UVSS is an real time colour inspection system that enables the operator day or night to closely examine, inspect and record the vehicle undersides. The DVR can be connected to additional camera’s such as Driver and vehicle monitoring CCTV which can also be displayed on the same monitor and recorded for future re-examination or playback. Please note the system is a standalone system any ANPR/LPR recognition requirement would have to be a separate system provided by the customer.


Please note the S-COMM6 does NOT provide automatic threat or image comparison. It is a video inspection system, however you can angle a camera forward or rearwards to capture vehicle number plates on the same file as the undersides video. Systems that claim to provide automatic or image comparison are notoriously unreliable with a high rate of false alerts/ false errors, they are also complex and expensive. S-COMM6 relies on the operator using their eyes to detect objects on the video, this is a much more reliable method which is why our UVSS is so popular.

The S-COMM6 (6 camera) UVSS is priced at N8.2 million per system ex works UK including the DVR and 19” LED Monitor (not touch screen) and is delivered in a plug and play state. The system is supplied with 10m HD conduit with armoured cable internal sleeves terminating at the junction box, we can extend this up to 30m in total without any signal loss, but the charge is N23,000 per additional meter over and above 10m.

Installation is very simple and can be carried out by the customer, the system is simply bolted to the road surface, however for permanent applications we would advise on the cable conduit being entrenched. The system requires very little maintenance other than periodic cleaning.

S-COMM6 is IP68 rated and utilises 6 high quality 3.6mm HD Sony camera’s that provide the best UVSS image quality available in conjunction with top of the range DVR and LED Monitors. Uniquely the camera’s in the S-COMM6 can be positioned to allow the user to point them either forward or rear looking or vertically. The system is either permanent or portable and is rated to 40tons and is all weather compatible.

S-COMM is a portable or permanent real time colour UVSS system designed and manufactured in the UK by SAE Systems to provide an affordable, robust and dependable under vehicle examination system for all vehicle check points on any terrain day or night.


S-COMM’s unique adjustable camera arrangement allows the end user to position each camera in a forward, vertical or rear facing position enabling sharp and accurate under vehicle images penetrating even the deepest recesses. Its high intensity led illuminated cameras coupled to the latest in Sony camera technology ensure sharp and accurate high frame rate imagery and video feedback to the controller day or night and in any conditions.

Rated to IP68 the electronics and camera package is water resistant and can be located on virtually any terrain prone to flooding. The simple plug&play set up procedure means the S-COMM can be installed on site and working in a matter of minutes in a portable format or permanently bolted to the road surface in less than an hour. The Fusion 5X 1080p TVI is a class leading high definition digital video recorder providing up to 1 month of recording time on its integral 1TB hard drive, in conjunction with the Flexscan S1934 19” LED Monitor the S-COMM6 UVSS provides the operator with the latest in TVI image quality.

The S-COMM UVSS comes supplied with a 6 camera configuration, designed specifically to handle both standard THE AFFORDABLE ROBUST AND DEPENDABLE SOLUTION FOR ALL VEHICLE CHECK POINTS ON ANY TERRAIN sized vehicles and also larger HGV/Tractor vehicles. The S-COMM is the ideal UVSS system where vehicle undersides need to me checked and monitored whilst being able to keep the traffic flowing.
Specific attention has been given to the cable and wiring looms, the UVSS to DVR cable link is engineered from multi core coaxial cable individually shielded in pvc and steel flexible conduit capable of standing up to constant vehicle traffic without any fuss or impact on the integrity of the cables.

Each cable loom is 10m long as standard, allowing plenty of flexibility in the location of the UVSS in relation to the control point. The cable can be tailored to meet customer requirements if longer or shorter lengths are required. No compromise has been made in the build quality of the
S-COMM, its rugged design means virtually no maintenance is required and training is minimal and fully covered in the user information provided with the system.
