I've visited Rwanda and it's a lovely place. But Rwanda is a very very small country, so I'll get bored very easily moving to Rwanda from a place like Nigeria. The downgrade will be too hard on the family. A tour of kigali without traffic could be completed in an hour. Lots of basic commodities are unavailable.

Besides, cost of living is not particularly low. Politically, Rwanda is highly unstable in my opinion. No one can tell you what will become of Rwanda without Kagame. Kagame has worked hard to unite the people, but I think the peace is largely based on the fear of Kagame.For example, minority Tutsi's still run the show, correct me if I'm wrong. That for me is unsustainable in the long run and could be contentious.

The quality of Education is still a far cry, which is understandable, given they recently adopted english language. I got to learn that a lot of teaching is done in Kirwanda and English.

The international schools may be too costly for me.

I'm considering relocating to another african country. Not for economic reasons, but for peace and quiet.

I've visited 2 east african countries, and I'm particularly in love with the weather. South Africa would have been my choice destination but for the hate and high crime rate.
I've been looking up Zambia and malawi lately. The only downsides with both countries is that they are landlocked, and that usually means higher cost of imported commodities. But I'm willing to try especially because they appear to low-key in terms of cost of living, like housing.

Zambia appears to be friendly to Nigerians from what I've read online, and there appears to be some level of political stability in the country, less crime rate too.

But I'll love to hear from any Nigerian familiar with the country of Zambia and perhaps Malawi too.

I'm not an economic migrant. I'm not going in search of a job. I may want to set up a business there eventually, but my priority is a safety, peace and quiet.

I'll love to hear about the quality of education because I've got kids.

Let me stop here for now while hoping fora feedback from anyone who has some useful info/advice to share.
