Basically, Samsung always releases two versions of their flagship devices, one with a Snapdragon chipset for the US and one with an Exynos chipset for the rest of the world.

The problem is that the Exynos chipset is just not as good as Qualcomm's Snapdragon chips, the performance of the Exynos is worse, the camera quality is not as good, it gets hotter than the Snapdragon and it has worse battery life.

Another issue is that depending on where you are in the world you're most likely paying more than US customers for an inferior device

I think I agree with you on this.
I enjoyed the battery performance of my Galaxy A30 for 2 months after I bought it. Since then I have been using glo network & it gets hot most times when I switch on my data.
I usually get 5. 5 hours SOT(used to be 8-9 hours dat 1st 2 months). It is now worse since I upgraded to Android 10. My phone is now slow & freezes a lot.
I'm kind of disappointed but I really like this phone.
