3- 70-90% OF OUR IGBO BUSINESS MEN IMPORT GOODS IN THIS COUNTRY.

4-IGBO ALWAYS LOOKING FOR CHEAPEST PRODUCT TO IMPORT NO CONSIDERING IT QUALITY, ALL THEY WANT IS LARGE PROFIT.

NB: WE HAVE MANY IGBOS AND HAUSAS BUSINESS MEN THAT CAN ENTER THE FORBE LIST IN TERMS OF MONEY. BUT DUE TO THEY DONT HAVE COMPANIES AND ENGAGED THEM SELF IN IMPORTATION. THEY CANT GO THROUGH DAT LIST.

Following the continued violence perpetuated by Biafra protesters, chief Ralph Uwazuruike, the leader of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has renamed the group.

Vanguard reports that Uwazuruike who made this known on Sunday, December 6, in a statement issued in Owerri, said the name of MASSOB has been changed to Biafra Independent Movement (BIM).

The BIM leader said the decision became necessary as some dissidents of MASSOB were giving the group a bad corporate image; a development he revealed was very annoying.

He said: “The change in name became absolutely necessary because of the sad introduction of violence by the disgruntled dissidents and this is at variance with the non-violence stance of MASSOB over the years.”

According to him, the dedicated loyalists of MASSOB are embarrassed to be associated with violence, assuring that plans were already ongoing to reorganise MASSOB and turn it to the youth wing of the Biafra Independent Movement.

Uwazuruike who further hinted on how he recruited Nnamdi Kanu in 1989, to head Radio Biafra also pointed out that there was a displaced liability in civil law.

“I recruited Nnamdi Kanu in 1989, when I established Radio Biafra and appointed him the director of the establishment. He started preaching hatred and brainwashing the youths. MASSOB sacked him,” Uwazuruike said.

Meanwhile, The Nation reported on November 30, that MASSOB at a ceremony attended by national officers including the zonal and regional administrators of the group, inaugurated a new leadership for the Biafra movement after the group expelled its national leader, chief Uwazuruike. The group’s former national director of information, Uchenna Madu, was made the new leader while Ugwuoke Ibem Ugwuoke, emerged as national secretary.

The agitation for Biafra might be getting secret support from some well meaning Nigerians as it was reported that chief Chris Uche, a chieftain of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in Owerri on Thursday, November 26, at the third memorial anniversary of Ojukwu’s death was quoted to have said “the spirit of Dim Chukwuemeka Ojukwu, the leader of the defunct Republic of Biafra, is reportedly at work in the recent pro-Biafran agitations.”

The APGA stalwart, however, noted that Biafra would be declared a sovereign state without the shedding of blood.
