The ruling party in Nigeria has dismissed claims by the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari was on motion but not making any movement, reeling out the administration’s achievements made within one month in office. At a press conference hosted by the All Progressives Congress in Lagos on Tuesday, the spokesman for the party, Mr Lai Mohammed, said that there had been motion and movement by the Buhari’s administration. The PDP had urged Nigerians to pray for the current administration for the government to succeed.ACHIEVEMENTS OF PRESIDENT BUHARIListing the achievements of the President in the last one month, the ruling party’s spokesman said that the Presidenthad put strategies in place to tackle insecurity and further strengthen the fight against terrorists in the oil-rich nation’snorth-east.“This is one area in which the Buhari Administration has hit the ground running. The President had hardly been sworn into office than he embarked on a shuttle diplomacy to rally Nigeria’s neighbours to act as a common front against the terror group Boko Haram.“The President travelled to Chad and Niger, and then hosteda summit of the Lake Chad Basin Commission that comprised Cameroon, Chad and Niger, with Benin also invited.“The result is the decision to deploy the Multi National JointTask Force (MNJTF), with headquarters in N’Djamena, Chad, on July 30th to pep up the fight against Boko Haram! This is the same force that the past administration could not get off the ground in six years!“That’s what we meant when we said what the Jonathan Administration could not do in six years, the Buhari Administration has done in three weeks, not minding that some mischievous elements decided to quote us out of context,” Mr Mohammed stated. He listed other efforts that President Buhari had made in tackling corruption, which was one of the items in a wish-list he submitted to the G7.The APC’s spokesman pointed out that the fight against corruption had triggered an order by the President to all revenue-generating agencies, including the NNPC, FIRS, Customs and NPA, to close all Illegal Revenue Accounts and to also remit all funds generated to the Federation Account.“This is a momentous step considering that those illegal accounts are being used to siphon public funds.“Thanks to the painstaking efforts of President Buhari, Nigerians now know that out of 8.1 trillion Naira generated by the NNPC in three years, 3.8 trillion Naira was not remitted to the Federation Account. Nigerians now know that the cash in the Excess Crude Account has been depleted by 2 billion dollars without explanation,” he said.Mr Mohammed further told reporters that since President Buhari’s election on March 28, Nigeria had been moving fast to regain its deserved place in the comity of respected nations.“Leaders who once shunned Nigeria have been inviting, in droves, President Buhari to visit their countries. The latest is US President Barack Obama, who will play host to our President at the White House on July 20.“There is no better indication of how much Nigeria is regaining its lost glory than the recent election of former Agriculture Minister Akinwumi Adesina as the President of the African Development Bank,” He stated. |
teepsee:•Road inspection: L-R: Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State addressing the Site Engineer of the Greylines company, Engr.George skayrak and residents of Emene, as his Deputy, Hon. Mrs. Cecilia Ezeilo looks on, when he inspected the oldEmene road..yesterday A trader, Mr. Oguejifor Udeh based at Ogbete main market particularly praised the governor for ensuring the completion of the mind-boggling Ogbete main market entrance road within one month of his administration.According to him, the progress made on the popular market road was due to the personal intervention of the governor on the very first day he officially resumed office.“When he visited the site that very day he prevailed on the contractor handling the project to complete the work within one month time.“To me the importance and the urgency is a cleardisplay of leadership by the governor that should be applauded and emulated.“As you can see, I am happy that our governor has made us proud today. My goods can now enter from Onitsha, Aba or Lagos direct to the door-step of my shop, because this road has been completed. He was here on his first day in office and told us that the contractor has assuredhim that this then dilapidated road under reconstruction will be completed within one month”.Continuing, he said “our able governor has achieved this for us and my customers can now drive to and inside this market with ease to patronize me. What else do I want from him otherthan this selfless service? Governor Ugwuanyi has shown that he is a true leader who has the interest of the masses at heart.“This one month experience of his government is a pleasant one and I pray that God will continue to guide and protect him for us, because he will do more to develop this State”, he added. On his part, another Enugu resident, who resides in Emene, Mr. Okey Nzeobi said “surprisingly, our governor visited us here in Emene, the other day, to inspect our roads. He told us that he wants action here, that he was in a hurry to deliver and that he came with the contactor that will do our roads. As you can see, the contractor has mobilized his men and equipment to the site and construction work has started here immediately.“He also told us to stop dumping refuse on the road side and gutter; he said that what concerns Emene was bordering his administration. So I don’t know what you want me to say again about his new administration.“I heard he also went to Nsukka, 9th Mile Corner, Abakpa-Nike, and other places to identify areas he will commence work immediately. All I know isthat our governor has started well and we only pray that our economy gets better so that he will fully actualize his vision for.”A cross section of other residents told our reporter that the governor’s positive intervention during his unscheduled inspection visits to schools, markets, hospitals, satellite towns etc immediately he assumed office yielded the needed results.“The impromptu visits to those areas”, according to them, “was actually aimed at identifying areas that require urgent attention and ensuring that allon-going projects in the State which were completed within a space of time, have started yielding positive results in the state and should be highly commended”.Another remarkable feature during the first one month in office is his spirit of love not matter the political divide or disagreements.Speaking at a media parley on the second week after resumptionUgwuanyi said he was not prepared to embark onany witch-hunting expedition but to settle down to business of governing the state by not engaging in unnecessary fight against his predecessors in office. His words, “I am sure you listened to my inaugural address, all former governors were recognized. We are getting in touch with all of them to formally talk to each and every member of the council of elders we are reconstituting. We cannot in a State like this ignore the experience of these former leaders. Everybody is our friend. The era of politics is over. The peace we enjoy here (Enugu) we have to maintain that peace . Is peace enmeshed in agape love, covered by the Holy Spirit. We have fully taken over, we are in charge.“The tradition I don’t know the tradition but in the past you find a situation where once there is change of baton the new guy will start fighting the old guy.The experience of Boko Haram and experiences in the States where there is no peace is enough to teach us some lessons. Is not worth it instead we will move from strength to strength”, he added. |
IT is about one month ago that the new governor of Enugu State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi took over the reins of power from the immediate past governor Sullivan Chime at Lion Building.Although one month is certainly not enough to assess his performance but it is clear that he is in the right track as expressed by the residents about his developmental strides within the short time he came into the saddle, describing him as a visionary leader with the interest of the people at heart. And the verdict was near unanimous by a a cross-section of residents in Enugu interviewed who noted with satisfaction the actions taken so far in administering the ‘Coal City State, saying that he has proved that he is poised to deliver on his campaign promises, in a bid to move the State to the next level.

Maverick musician, Charles Oputa popularly known as Charly Boy who celebrated his birthdayanniversary last Friday in Abuja, has declared that he does not know his actual age. I don’t really know my age. How people came about 64 is still a surprise to me. I am not particular about how old or young the number is, what I’m concerned about is the age of my mind and the age of my body. From my physique and my energy, I feel like I am 35 years younger. However, going by the age of my mind, experiences, my responsibilities and wisdom I should be about 87 years of age,” Charly said. The controversialArea Fatherwho is the first son of the late famous and iconic Nigerian legal luminary, Justice Chukwudiofu Oputa said, the lessons he learnt so far in life has made him to be open-minded and stay true to himself. According to him, experience has taught him to be strong, master his art of contentment and clean living with moderation to life without stress. On his relationship with his family, Charly Boy said, “My family is my rock, my children are my joy and pride. Family is what I have known all my life. I love all my children in different ways and I see a bit of me in all of them. And my strongest principle in life is ‘live and let live’, because you can’t live your life judging or labelling others when you don’t know the stuff they are made of.”Speaking further, the weird musician who stunned the Nigerian music scene in the 80s withhis peculiar fashion style like that of late Michael Jackson and British born pop singer Boy George said, despite his age, his fashion culture has not changed, adding “it depends on my mood.”He, however, confessed that he has simmered down with less adventures than before because there’s nothing much to prove in the pop culture again. According to him, he tends to focus more on nurturing the peace and calm he feels within.“When my usefulness is engaged, when I see the influence I bring in people’s lives, when I’m able to add value and make measurable contribution to individuals and society. When people who come in contact with me tell me am not what they thought or expected I would be. A lot of these testimonies form my very happy moment,” he added. On the things that pricks his emotions, the Area Father said, he hates to say goodbye and usually find it difficult to see friends or loved ones off when they are travelling. Talking about his regrets over the years, he said, “As an adventurous person, I goofed many times but if I had to live it over again, I wouldn’t change anything.I mean, I don’t have regrets. I live life on the edge and to change would mean doing things in a conventional way. If it is not daunting and scary, it is certainly not for me. I want to think I scare myself too,” Charly said, adding “Expect to see more exciting things as I reinvent myself, my brand and as I go a notch higher in shocking conventional and unintelligent minds, more creative inspiration abounds.”

Dirk and Jenny aren’t like normal couples. Their sentiments are: to love one another, to support one another and to share a lot of their private time together. The only thingthat sets them apart is Jenny is a ‘real doll’ that Dirk bought for 6,000 euros (that’s $6,750).They have been living together in Dirk’s flat for 4 years now, after Dirk suffered a breakdown from feeling lonely. With Neil Young’s Such a Woman playing, they tied the knot inDirk’s flat, and instead of a wedding ring, he gifted her a heart shaped pendant on a chain. What sets their relationship apart from that of simply a sex doll is that Dirk has forged a true genuine relationship with Jenny. He can hearher, talk to her and “perceive her soul”, believing she speaks back. Documenting the couple’s day to day lives, the photographer, Sandra Hoyn, discovered the 40-year-old man bathed Jenny on Sundays, theywrote a blog together and watched football in front of the TV side by side. Dirk, however, hasn’t told any of his family or friends, including hischild from a previous marriage. When he has guests he conceals her in his bedroom and dims the lights. The photographer’s biggest challenge, was coming to terms with treating Jenny as the person Dirk sees her to be; to not to just seethe doll just as a doll, but to “recognize what the man sees and loves in her”. She actually started tofeel her presence, and when Jenny was put in bed for a ‘sleep’, actually felt her voice volume lowering, afraid of waking her.

Well, sex has some sort of crazy hold on humans and animals alike but if statistics that say men think about sex every 7 seconds are anything to go by, then people goingback to their exes for sex shouldn’t be much of a surprise. While it seems to hold truer for men to always think about sex, this makes the possibility of men going back to their ex for sex when Hot higher than it is for the womenfolk (even though this may not hold true in every situation).More so, getting an ex off one’s mind is a hard call if you add the fact that you may once have had some scintillating sexual make outswith them. We all know going back to your ex for anything at all ( including sex) is a bad idea and as such, we bring to you 6 Reasons why men go back to their exes for sex and why it is an entirely bad idea for men and women to do so.You’re familiarThe fact that you know them so welland you have absolutely no reason whatsoever to impress them, figure out the things they like or go ballistic with their sexual fantasies makes it easier to have uncomplicated sex with your ex. These things hold true for both of you as being with a familiar body you know in and out is appealing even though you have it at the back of your mind that it won’t last. Having sex with your ex will surely not make you get over them, neither will it help you start a fresh relationship. You’re availableWell, it’s obvious that the ex is always available and if anyone is looking for a quick lay, the ex is the first point of call. The ideal thing to do is to prevent compromising situations such as spending private moments with them, having more drinks than you can take or answering their late night calls. They want closureA couple of times, you’d hear them say, “Just one last time, then I’ll be over you.” A Lot of girls in the ex category would probably have heardthis excuse time and time again. The simple truth is that it is very rare for sex to make you realise that the two of you aren’t meant to be together or make you feel like it is “really over” as sex is bound to bringthe two of you closer. It’s never really over if you’re having sex, simply because…err, you’re having sex.He wants to win you backTruth is a man may actually want to have sex with his ex because he wants her back. Sex releases a lot of powerful emotions which can be difficult to refuse. Hugging alone releases a lot of chemical reactions that elucidates bonding, talk more ofnaked sexual romps. Thus, his plan with having sex with an ex could be to get back in the game. If you aren’tinterested, stay away from sex with the ex.He wants a friend with benefitsReady for more truth? The friends with benefits conundrum never wanes. It is difficult to have a casualsexual relationship with your ex. The truth is having a friends with benefits relationship with your ex will only stop you from moving on with your life as it may prevent you from dating other people as you may subconsciously feel you still have a boyfriend even though he’s nothing like what you want.He misses youThis might sound so sweet, but it is definitely not a good reason to jump in bed with him. It is normal to miss someone and it is part of the grieving and recovery process of getting over an ex. If you end up having sex with them again, the process begins all over again. |
it's high time we know that they is no practical way to do it When it come to love. There is no school to that cause I bet u, there's no graduation to that. let's let love flow natural, before u become single for ………… you don't wanna know *^▁^* |
June 23, 2015ByadminLeave a Comment A day after ordering the dismantling of military checkpoints nationwide, President Muhammadu Buhari has relaxed the rule. Abdulazeez Yari, governor of Zamfara state and chairman of the governors’ forum, said on Tuesday that the governors told Buhari the order was “untimely” because of the security challenges facing the states. “But Mr. President cited some incidents that happened at the military checkpoints but where necessary, he has given the chief of army staff the permission that they can continue especially in the north, south-east and the frontline states,” he said. The frontline states are where the counter-terrorism operations are currently taking place in the north-east. “We discussed the issue of frontline states as regards insurgency: Borno, Yobe and Adamawa. The president briefed us on his meeting with the G7 countries who have agreed to support the Nigerian government to fight the insurgency to the last. “Also, it was noted that the insurgency has done so much damage to our infrastructure – schools, hospitals, and bridges. The president said he has put a committee in place to go and assess the situation and he has also made a commitment that he will not request money from any G7 country but support to rebuild the destroyed infrastructure,” Yari said. A hotel restaurant in Anambra, Nigeria has been shut down by authorities for serving human flesh. According to the BBC, suspicious residents told police of rumors that the restaurant was cooking human meat for customers. Police then raided the restaurant, where they discovered fresh human heads that were still bleeding. The blood was in the process of being drained into a plastic bag. In addition to the illegal meat, authorities discovered automatic weapons, grenades, and cell phones. Ten people were arrested in conjunction with the crimes. One resident said, “Every time I went to the market, I observed strange activities going on in the hotel. People who were never cleanly dressed and who looked a bit strange made their way in and out of the hotel, making me very suspicious of their activities. I am not surprised at the shocking revelation.” A priest who ate at the restaurant was alarmed when presented with a bill of 700 Naira, or roughly $3.50 (Tens of millions of people in Nigeria subsist on less than $1 a day). “The attendant noticed my reaction and told me it was the small piece of meat I had eaten that made the bill scale that high,” he said. “I did not know I had been served with human meat, and that it was that expensive.” Last year, Australian chef Marcus Volke murdered and cooked his girlfriend before killing himself. In Brazil, also last year, a man and two women were arrested for murdering potential nanny candidates and then cooking their flesh into empanadas.
