Best CBN Governor Ever. I would Urge him to raise interest rate to 35-40 percent to tame the banks and Government Spending causing inflation and financialisation of Asset. Then Gradually ease off the interest rate as Economy improves and inflation reduces.
What you dont understand is that the Higher interest rate lead to higher growth and lower interest rate lead to lower growth and Financialisation of Asset.
Higher interest rate would stop the banks betting and Doing Kalokalo.

ikorodureporta: PALLIATIVES: LASG DISTRIBUTES ‘OUNJE EKO’ TO RELIGIOUS LEADERS IN LAGOS
In furtherance of its humanitarian intervention to cushion the effects of the harsh economy, the Lagos State Government, through the Ministry of Home Affairs, has commenced the distribution of 20, 000 food packs to Religious Leaders across the five divisions of the State.
Speaking to journalists during the presentation to Religious Leaders earlier today, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, Mr. Adewunmi Ogunsanya stated that this action was a continuation of the State government’s intervention programme which cuts across all sectors in the State.
He noted that the Ministry has commenced the distribution of 20,000 food packs, which consist of 10kg Rice, 5kg Beans and 5kg Garri, to be given to all over 94 Associations of both the Christian Muslim communities in the State.
Ogunsanya explained that representatives of each religious group have been invited and they have started collecting the palliatives on behalf of the various associations.
According to the Permanent Secretary, the distribution has been decentralised so that 3000 packs of 'Ounje Eko’ will be distributed per day to each Religious body, adding that each division of the State will receive 500 packs each to be shared among its members.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Islam, Dr. Abdullahi Jebe hinted that the gesture from the State Government will go a long way to alleviate the effect of the present economic pressure on the religious communities, as food remains an essential part of man’s basic needs.
Similarly, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Christianity, Very Reverend Adebukola Adeleke noted that the State Government is sensitive to the plights of the Religious Leaders and their members, hence the need for the distribution of the food palliatives to assuage the high cost of food in the markets.
The distribution, which commenced today, Wednesday will continue till Tuesday, 20th August, 2024.
Maybe from his Family. He's Not the First BlackMan..
officialwdhtvv: David Solomon, a Nigerian living in Scotland has become the first black man to have hiked all 282 Munros in Scotland. Munros are mountains above 3000ft in Scotland.
Solomon achieved this record on Saturday, 10th of August from the journey he started in 2020.
The UK-based Cyber security analyst said he fell in love with hillwalking in Scotland after he bagged his first Munro. “I work during the week and spend most of my weekends hiking and roaming the hills with my dog JJ.”
“I decided I wanted to climb them all in 2020 during a challenging time of my life. The mountains provided a sort of relief and helped me mentally,” Solomon revealed.
Solomon’s first climbed Ben Lomond in 2020, a mountain situated on the eastern shore of Loch Lomond, it is the most southerly of the Munros. Since then, he has bagged many more including An Teallach, Beinn Alligin, Schiehallion among others. Solomon will be setting a new record after climbing Buachaille Etive Mòr (Stob Dearg), also known as great herdsman of Etive, a mountain at the head of Glen Etive in the Highlands of Scotland. Its pyramidal shape, and one of the most recognisable mountains in Scotland.
Born and grew up in Nigeria, Solomon relocated to the United Kingdom to study 15 years ago and settled there. Now a British citizen with a 12 year old daughter, he lives in the Scottish Highlands.

I am seeking advice on relocating to either Germany or Canada at the beginning of next year. I currently work remotely as the sole UI/UX designer for a tech company in Nigeria. I am married and in my late 20s. The idea of relocating has been on my mind for a few months now, and I have seriously been considering leaving the country. I hold a degree in Electrical Engineering.
A friend suggested that I could move through a study program, but I am not sure if I can focus on academics at the moment. I am keen to hear how others have successfully and legitimately relocated. My wife is insistent that I shouldn’t leave the country without her, so I am planning for both of us to move together.
I would appreciate any advice on how to proceed with relocating to either Germany or Canada. If you prefer to share detailed information privately, my email is in my signature.
Nonsense, you reduced the number of banks instead of creating more banks. What is the point of Consolidation when there is no production?.
Nigeria needs at least 7,000 different banks serving people at federal level, state level, local government level and grass root to be successful like China. Just encouraged and regulate banks to create credit and lend to Productive sector.
Nigerian banks of today don't give money to the real sector which helps production, reduce inflation and poverty but only financial sector which are unproductive and for the Rich.
Lets tell ourselves the truth first and face reality.
