Olive64: Hey everyone... Please i need Help with this. I use the first Samsung Galaxy tab 7.0 running gingerbread 2.3.4. Check out the specs http://m.gsmarena.com/samsung_p1000_galaxy_tab-3370.php . I recently downloaded Shadow Gun:left over and Modern Combat 3, moved them to the obb folder as instructed, but the games have refused to work. When i open Modern Combat, it shows the 'GAMELOFT' logo and it closes taking me back to the home screen. The same thing with the shadow Gun. It starts, but while the game is loading and the music is playing, the sound starts skipping and the game closes... But Nfs most wanted works fine. Could this be a problem with the 512mb Ram? Please check the specs and lemme know what the problem is.

it can't show in ur phone settings
u will only see it inside ram expander (addition of ur swap n ur real ram )

adekayo_1234: seeing new usernames in this forum, it's being a while here.....kudos to the guys who have always made sure people get their answers. as for the newbies, this was my first android phone and with little help from gurus here and personal research, my friends are already calling me guru. my advice to you is that you do your research and explore your phone as this phone has a lot of potential any 512 device is capable of. let me drop this hint, droidvpn and openvpn still rocks! the settings are all over google, am sure a little googling will not hurt

1: download and install Total Commande apk
run Total Commande , allow root access
locate and open SYSTEM FILE
locate and open ETC FILE
locate and open HOSTS FILE ...open with
EDIT OPTION
insert the symbol # before the second set
of ip address numbers then save the changes
and exit
REBOOT PHONE
add google account in settings and your
playstore will now work

note: use root explorer instead of total commands


method 2

step: 1. Make sure you have a ROOT ACCESS on your Device.
2. Install Root Explorer, Run App, Grant SU
Access.
3. Browse root / etc... at the top of your screen
you will see mount R/O and mount R/W...
4.Tap mount R/W
5.Look for host file, long press it and open with
text editor.
6. just Add # (pound sign) on the first number.
like this:
#74.125.93.113(just one
space)android.clients.google.com
SAVE IT and Reboot.
Now you can connect to Google Play very well
