The only way I can give my Kudos to that policy is if a careful research is carried out before admission is given out by painstakingly checking through the certificates of those that truly schooled in the ELDs otherwise it remains a nonsense policy.
How can I sit in a class with a dude from one of the ELDs [I live in lagos] and then we both go for the post-utme and he gains some sort of favour while I'm sidelined. C'mon we were both taught in the same urban area and school or does the brain state that one is from 'Anambra' and the other from 'Borno' so being from 'Anambra' which happens not to be an ELD makes me automatically better than the other?? So, who's bias??

Pprovost: But not for some major courses i think....medicine for example need people with more academic prowess and orientation... I go with level playing ground for everyone.

I'm just making a case for my friend FrancisTony; he once reasoned that it was like celebrating mediocrity.
I couldn't agree more, that's like keeping people trapped in a maze and making them remain in their comfort zone, and it's some kind of Robbery on the part of those that don't fall into either of the categories. Why can't everyone be given a level playing ground??
2 years ago I did better than some friends in the post-utme and aggregate total and was given an entirely different course from the one I actually wanted while they were admitted to that same course based on some catchment and ELD thing. In as much as I was happy for them, I couldn't hide my grievance for the policy.
So, with talks about which states fall into those categories being raised by some good folks on here, I just felt I should give my take on that and get your opinion.
So I'm here #JustAsking...Should everybody be given a level playing ground??

am tempted to say yes though but considering some things i heard lyk northerners being forced to go to school and all that then i think lowering their cut-off is kinda encouraging and whoever brought that idea knows its for the best and it has come to stay
