I know minna very well. A peaceful town with fertile land. It's unfortunate that terrorists have invaded gwariland where like gwada where food is grown in abundance. I always buy and go and go do give-away in abuja.
Concerning cost in the south, it is not greed. The roads are very bad and the cost of fuel is now very high. And there's insecurity. For example, that truckload of yam will pass through hell to go from niger to SE or SS. And in about 20 or more checkpoints, they will encounter all manners of checkpoints that will extort them, from police to agbero to those guys claiming they are checking agricultural produce.
Business is meant to generate profit. When the traders finally get home, they calculate all their expenses and then add their profits, which is what makes the cost higher in the south.
