Hmmmmmmm............Finally!! An "alumnus" of UI. I have long learnt (from years of java hunting, Scrabble playing, Back tracking and reading) that the best way to learn is to listen to those eager to speak. I found your post, most humbling, given that UI is your alma mater (just as UNIBEN is mine) and would know better than anyone how your school operates; so I decided to take your word for it and stop typing "Epistles" and actually "Observe" UI's web profile; even though its seemed unnecessary. A look at this thread from pages 50 to 85 proves your post "Entertainingly" offkey at best and wrong or just plain bias at worst given how many persons received mails from UI scheduling them for clearance on calender dates already passed (talk about "UI isn't one of 'those' schools who publicise on the internet what they wouldn't require from you" all over again).

The greatest proof of how offkey U maybe comes from UI's web portal itself - a very "Important Message" that remain on its web portal till date which reads

"Important Message : Clearance exercise for newly admitted students will now end on September 19, 2014. Please note that there will be no further extension.

Deadline of registration for the 2013/2014 academic session has been shifted to September 29, 2014. Please note that there will be no further extension."

Which still proves my point,

"Do not take actions solely on the strength of what you see online from UI, but on what you can verify offline as well ";

a reason I guess someone was smart enough to start this thread which I believe alot of folks have gained immensely from, wouldnt U agree?

For those who by virtue of admission letters are already students of UI's Computer Science Post-graduate Dept. and those "other folks" who deem me as the bearer of "Misfortune", not only have I received my letters of admission and all other sundry documents ; I have also spotted my name on the admission list sent to me by none other than Dr S Akinola.

If UI is anything members of its alumni say it is then it means on the 16th of April I already have a class to attend; its a pleasure reading your thoughts, sharing mine here, as well as learning how others think. To my fellow colleagues I say congrats and see you when "We" get there.................................................

Did you score 40 and above in EPT? If U did, don't think too much U already have it. U can call Dr Akinola on this number 08056666117. He is the PG coordinator for Computer science, call him at 10.00 hopefully he will be in his office then (ibadan is a sleeping town). If he is in his office, he will gladly help U verify your recommendation status (also just make sure all ya documents transcripts, certificates etc are set for clearance so U can sleep fine). Faith without works is dead so work small! Call him..........

For those who feel misled my point is "Verify from authentic sources"!! I travelled from Jos to lagos to Ibadan to hear the facts , made call in the same respect to do same.......................

Strange that U will think the Dept unserious though especially when I do remember a chemistry student was sent to Kola daisi hall for EPT when his paper clearly said chemistry and the fellow was sent there by staff invigilating chemistry exams in chemistry Dept...............Probably a slip but like I said, my conclusion is Trust but verify......

Hahaha I remember this scenario. No sooner than the chemistry student drama end did I cut my finger with blade and the Invigilator had to take me out to help me clean up.
I hope I get recommended too tho, cuz I haven't gotten any mails or what not so far

Guyz, I just want to knw if transcript submission is late cos UNN only offers transcript services online (payment, delivery & all). I just arranged for my wife's 2day & it'll take 7 working dayz to get 2 UI (next week friday @ worst). Hey guys. I received an email from the postgrad school comp science informing us about the departmental test that comes up immediately after the English proficiency. Lol I was all buoyed up prior to this email but I'm more scared than excited now haha
Like it's been a while man finished first degree na, but all is well to them that trust in The Lord (and prepare).

The test of English is a general test for all applicants. The department tests thingy depends on the department applied to. Some depts organise further tests for their applicants before they can be admitted, while other depts don't.

Please I've also been having issues posting my documents(waec and bsc cert)...its been saying server error and access denied..does anyone also have an idea of when this online application will close?

I'm guessing the error is due to the fact that u didn't clearly state what doc u are uploading. Go to the "multiple upload" page and under the "something something 100%", select bsc or Waec from the drop down menu and upload said document on "page1". Then repeat the step for the 2nd document too. And make sure your internet connection is strong, or just do it late in the night or early in the morning.

Then the application closes today. You are welcome
