U have to delete other web settings already installed on the phone,then reset phone to factory defaults, Problem will be fixed,

Sorry guys, didnt mean to be so long before communicating. Just happened. I have been around the other forums.

Well, electronically, not much is happening. I have a few projects I have worked on recently but all at various stages of completion.
However I still get my hands on a few things from time to time.

I will post a few of my troublew shooting and repairs mainly kind of do-it-yourself for me.

This one is a CRT monitor I think I should revive than junk, and this is where I stand this morning.

LG CRT desktop monitor 710S Tick tick tick sound at powerup
power LED blinking orange.
Opened up the cover . Disconnected CRT HV yoke, scan coil wires and other grounding connection and degaussing to allow paneld to be removed from metal mounting.
Placed panel in a suitable position next to crt to test.

Reconnected CRT HV yoke and scan coil, then powered on. Tick tick tick present.
Obviously /hopefully something was shorting.

Powered off an discharged 400V 180uf filter cap after recieviung a nasty shock.
Tested all secondary rectifier diodes at secondary end of PS SMPS. No shorts seen.
Disconnected 50V and 15V output rectifiers at cathode.
Powered up and tick tick tick gone. Green light blinking but no HVT action.
Re connected 15v sec rectifier diode back to pcb and power on. LED still blinking green but with gegauss relay operation .
Installed 50V sec rectifier diode and tick tick tick returns at power on.

So something is definitely shorted at the 50v SECONDARY LINE.
Next I isolate as many components as possible related to the 50v dc output line.
Short which was traced to IRFS630 a 200V N-Channel B-FET Transistor. Gate and source shorted.

I will source for this component this week, hope that will fix the problem.

@drag tanks 4 ur reply.i bought the screen @ d new complex beside mcdavies.the first day i tested all their screen none of the screen touchpad works.but d day i bot d screen d touch works,i even calibrate it.later, it stopworking before d phone start hanging.have try restorin d factory setting bt is not collect d code i but(0000,1234) or mayb am wrong.if get any solution let me know.also,have a LG shine(ke 970)it drains battery.have change the battery many times bt still d same.anyway out?.4 d n73 panel i will help u ask my fellow Eng. @ d village.my no 07032258142(hotline),07088263424.tanks n advance.

for china phones with hanging problem u need rehot Flash ic with an Smd rework station, or try factory resetting,use 1122, or 2233 as security code,it might work for u,
for Lgke970 drain battery, check charging jerk if there is short withing contacts, this is major problem with battery drains, clean and arrange pins of port,

@ intialize, - WSOD problem in nokia BB5 s60 is a problem form Omap Ic, In most case this ic can't be changed with and odinary SMD rework station, cause it is glued to pcb,this will involve the use of heavy Bga sodering station, very hard to change omap, their is a jumpper that works for me @times,i will upload for u lata, so u try jumpper, u luck might have it, , sorry i have no ideals for Treo LCD,

@ zenoo, check the center pin of the battery connector for proper contact, if nt work, if u are a tech, check if phone heats up when powered on, if it duzz, problem is shorts from PA or power ic (UEM) or some other components in pcb,

@tomz --- there is a site that can give u master security code tru ur phones imei, press *#06# to get imei of your fone, i have forgotten the site though, just try search google with Nokia master code, u will get it, godd luck,

@pozo - problem is within batt connector and battery, do this test- put a little piece of paper at back of battery to lap gaps withing battery and its connector, post result here, good luk

@femialfred --- ur lcd (screen) is faulty, u have to change it nw,give to qualified tech to do that for u,
