Unless u are using dynadot or GoDaddy, I will recommend u should be providing auth code if it's over 60days. We have been seeing cases of cancelled transaction even after buyer made payment. Buyer may not know he can still transfer to his preferred registrar, he may feel not okay and Dan can decide to cancel transaction.
