Politics › Re: Breaking: National Grid Restoration Update Nationwide by Thrasher2024: 7:41am On Oct 15, 2024 |
I don't care whether it is restored or not the question is why Nigeria as a whole is struggling with power supply? This is actually nauseating and irritable. The minister of power came up the other day and said Nigerians are enjoying average of 20hrs a day and I laughed while debunking the news based on the fact we only see an improvement in power supply during this time of the year when they rains are frequent. Everyday APC keeps proving to people that they have nothing to offer. Absolutely nothing to offer. Fashola that made noise and critized Jonathan regime that power supply is no rocket science eventually turned out to be the worse than his predecessor. Una go critize, una go bad mouth but at the end you guys have nothing to offer. A typical example of empty Barrels with the loudest sound. |

Politics › Re: Why Yoruba And Hausa Are Taught In Us Schools But No Igbo by Thrasher2024: 11:53am On Oct 12, 2024 |
Biodun556: You have not mention any of the reason
Igbos are extremely proud of their culture and identity
The main reason is because Igbos don't have rich history as Hausas and Yorubas and that's why foreigners don't see the importance of learning Igbo language
Then few students apply to study Igbo in the universities.
Another thing is that number and wide distribution is important
Hausas and Yorubas are well distributed in Africa and they have large population
Igbos are small in number and not indigenous to many countries as Hausas especially and who told you Igbos have no rich history who made you spokesperson for Nigerian cultures abeg shift. The main reason is that Igbos don't like speaking promoting their language like other tribes maybe recently we have started trying but before you hardly see Igbos commune with their fellow Igbo brothers in their native tongue in diaspora. |

Shadomaan7: Low key, the Igbo's have been sidelined in most things. The earlier we accept this bitter truth, the better for us. more like we Igbos have sidelined ourselves, why won't Igbo be unknown, when our fuulish Igbo brothers would travel overseas and be forming phoney, you go see Yoruba people proudly communicating with their language, same with Hausa but Igbo man go see fellow Igbo man dey form phoney, I witnessed this thing many times in London when I travel, I met my fellow Igbo man wey be from Imo state for Barking station northeast London, funny thing the ediot was speaking with his mother on the phone we were in the same train 🚆, immediately he finished I communicated with him in Igbo just to show brotherly to my greatest surprise the fool come dey form phoney for me as if he doesn't understand what I was saying but this was the same ediot that was speaking local Owerri dialect for his mom over the phone. Not just him but thousands of Igbos in diaspora do that especially from Imo state. Forming useless phoney. But you see Yoruba proudly speaking their language even with their kids. So I am not surprised it has to do with our fuulish brothers there that decided to alienate our language |

Politics › Don’t Be Deceived By This Electricity Improvement. by Thrasher2024(op): 10:22pm On Oct 02, 2024 |
I’ve seen various threads here talking about the improvement in electricity supply across the country. I just wonder and laugh about it, I mean are Nigerians anyway praise singers so myopic to the normal trend of electricity distribution across the country? Between June till December during the peak of rainy season and dry early dry season power generation improves across the country. It’s been a normal trend and once we get towards the hot season late January to May you see how power generation will crash. I remember during former president Buhari regime immediately after he was sworn in May 29th from June till December I remember when for the first time in history we had 16days uninterrupted power supply, and people were cheering Buhari calling him common sense genius and new sheriff in town, only for Feb 2016 to approach every thing went back to square zero. The improvement in power supply is as a result of large volume of water in kainji dam that boosts the turbines thus increasing power generation. In conclusion, I sincerely hope that this improvement will be permanent but knowing the back and forth pattern of power generation and distribution it is very early to conclude that power generation has permanently improved. |

Lemme school you… 1st and foremost… Odili never wanted Amechi to be Governor and Amechi went into Exile, it was Wike that single handedly fought and brought Amechi back when court ruled out Omehia ….
Amechi removed Wike from state politics and recommended him to federal Level….
Goodluck and Patience Jonathan made Wike Governor to spite Amechi …. So far so good we haven’t heard Patience or Jonathan ever regret making Wike Governor….
Amechi Right now is subtly supporting Wike in the fight with Fubara….
wow thank you for the enlightenment. I like learning new things daily, but if Wike is modest as that can you advise him to be more courteous with his words |

In which he betrayed the agreement he had with Ameachi for another region aside Ikwerre to be governor. Ameachi was fronting Dakuku peterside. SendoSendal: Only if Wike is not as boastful Only if Wike does not talk as much as he does Only if Wike is more tactful Only if Wike is more of action than talk Only if Wike is more humble and graceful
He would have been one of the biggest political leaders of our times. His political charisma is enduring and truly, a lot of Nigerians openly or secretly admire him, but he talks and brag too much. He lacks the finesse befitting of a statesman. He is also boastful.
Wike mismanaged Fubara. No doubt, Fubara made some early ugly moves, but so did Fashola and Ambode in Lagos but Tinubu managed them. Wike's lack of tact, made him to order the 27 House of Assembly guys to decamp to APC. That was Fubara's saving grace. Fubara saw the error and moved on it. Wike is yet to recover from that error. Imagine now that he is firmly in control of the PDP structure in Rivers, of what use is the decamping of the Assembly guys to APC to him? I guess he was betrayed by some elements in the Villa who must have advised him to make that move, promising him the full backing of the President in impeaching Fubara once APC is in firm majority in the assembly. He forgot that even Tinubu could not remove Fashola or Ambode through impeachments despite also being in firm control of the Lagos House of Assemblies at the time. All of these reek of lack of tack and strategy on the part of Wike. Once you begin to talk and boast too much, you begin to lose your reverence.
Silence is a better show of strength, than boastful talk and vain glory. Someone should pass this piece to Nyesome Wike, if they really love him. And he needs better strategists and handlers. He is currently making a poor show of himself and he may go down for it if he is not careful
Shalom Wike downfall has already started. You are familiar with the saying “whom they gods wanna destroy they first make insane”. That’s what is happening to Wike |
