So, I decided to watch Bbnaija this year after the criticisms in the past as it being a softporn show and not good for the youths and all that … I decided to watch it as I had given myself a target not to criticize anything until I know what is all about which led me to watching my first telemundo. Couldn’t finish watching a single Nigerian movie, though. God knows I tried.

I read up about the contestants before watching and coming here. The first name I came across when I opened this thread was Laycon and I noticed the hype. I immediately picked an interest in him even though I don’t usually like following the bandwagon.
I have followed him keenly for over two weeks now and I must say the truth even though I get crucified by his fans. I have looked up, looked down, looked left, looked right, even gone as far as digging into the earth crust and flying past the clouds, crossing seven seas and climbing the highest mountains, yet I’m still trying to find what’s special about the guy and what the whole hype is all about. Like seriously, people. Why am I even surprised? Nigerians typically celebrate mediocrity.

But that’s not to say he isn’t talented. I enjoyed listening to his song last Saturday but isn’t he just like any other musician out there? I believe he might have a great personality; after all, Erica befriended him. I give him kudos for that.

In all sincerity, I would rather watch Prince, noisy praise even Tricky Tee than spend the whole day watching Laycon which I’ve done for over two weeks now. I might even prefer Nengi and her skimpy dresses, throwing her ass about for all and sundry to drool over, fake or not.
All I have for him is pity (that’s if he’s even sincere) concerning the verbal slap that was administered to him by Erica. Maybe that’s the emotion he elicits in people that birthed the hype in the first place; pity.

If he were to win the show in the end, this will be my first and last BBN as they’re more worthy people to clinch the prize than him, unless something gives about him in the coming weeks.

My own honest opinion, though. No need jumping down unclad from Mount Everest or drinking conc. H2SO4 about it.

Ah okay. Just seen the videos of the guy with Joshua, Cuppy and Wizkid. Nice! It’s very possible that he knows them. But at the same time, you do know that one doesn’t have to be friends with a celeb to make a video of the celeb dancing in a club. Right? As in, lots of regular folks have pictures and videos of celebs they have run into in a club. That doesn’t mean they are friends with the celebs. Also, Joshua, Cuppy and Davido are like three of the most accessible people you will ever meet on a night out. These folks party with just about anybody. You don’t need to be rich or close friends with them to take pictures/videos with them .

I am still trying to understand how the son of a real baba olowo will be suffering himself on a reality show for regular folks. Did you see the way he jumped when they announced the 2m group prize . He now said he can add 100k to it and fly to London . That guy most likely flies economy jare . Is it fame he desires? With money, you can hire a reputable PR agency and they will give you the kain exposure you crave.

There’s something fishy about the guy. His dad may be a billionaire in Naira (One billion Naira is just 2.5 million dollars) but I’m not convinced that his dad is rich rich rich (multi millionaire in dollars) as he wants us the viewers and his housemates to believe. If anything, I think he’s an aspiring socialite. And many of those kain folks no dey too get money. Na mouth dem get. My own opinion sha.

With that said, I think the guy is an interesting character. Without him, walahi this season would have been bland as fukk.

His dad used to have mouth in the late nineties/early 2000s.. About half the governors in Nigeria, then, attended his dad's 40th birthday shindig in London.
However, things have not been so rosy as he was held by the UK govt for money laundering charges and a lot of money was seized. Money fit still dey but not anything close to how things once were.

I don’t think Kidd has the connects that he claims he has. How many celebrities know him? He just lambas all over the place. Another thing is that Kidd will not hang out with Erica outside the house. She’s not the type of girl folks like that hang out with. No offense. In my opinion sha, Erica doesn’t have that presence to be a big time actress. I didn’t see her acting skills come out in that movie on Thursday.
