Some people for no let us hear word if that Portugal's second goal fired from outside the 18 yard box that the Chilian Goalkeeper let in was conceded by Maduka. But some people that have seen it are doing as if not happened while waiting and lurking around the Internet space for the next time a goalkeeper will make a save from a longshot outside the 18 yard box and rush to post the link here in order to spite maduka cheesy grin

Na dem... one of the E.U Males. undecided
They will always support BASKET as their keeper.
Maduka is nothing but a Mosquito Net Basket deal with it.

"Gem" as in pet.
Not meat(as you Nigerians are always hungry).
If you don't have the means to keep it, sell it to conservationists or wildlife biologists.

Massive player!!
What a debut!!??
Dude didn't look out of place at all
He wan even kill Zalewski for that wing
Dude put in 3 okay crosses
Defended his area well
I noticed Onyeka wasn't finding his runs
I believe that would be worked on in training..

At this rate, I no fear Portugal again
Bewene is fearless
Him go chop Rafael Leao, even Neto for dinner..
Reminds me of a young Chidi Ordiah
I even see the step overs sef!

Bring on Portugal!!

And we are winning the next 2 AFCONs!!!
Let's go!!!

No. I meant attendees at the stadium. I doubt if we could pull that spectators considering the fact both teams are not world cup bound.

Nwabali has come clutch for us on many occasions so it's no surprise that we regard him as our number one despite his occasional errors.

Okoye is a good goalkeeper many African countries including close rivals will love to have.

Yes it's ok to criticize especially when it's warranted but let's encourage the young man too.
I yield. 🙌

I really wish Okoye has that stubborn mentality of Nwabali…this Okoye im seeing na Victor Moses younger brother…with some matchday unluckiness posing at him, that guy fit retire from super eagles at age 27🤣🤣….
Omo Nwabali no send anybody papa ohhh…you people will blame and bash him tire, wen its matchday it wont stop him from making a calm save and sleeping on the ball for 2hours before releasing it back into play ooo….even the Lesotho howler we use bashing finish that guy here in nairaland….The only thing Nwabali does is he always have a way to win back the heart of millions through his penalty heroics…He has a strong mentality….

i read one moniker here saying “If im Okoye i will just retire from super eagles”🤣🤣hahahaha

i read another person replying him saying “If okoye retire nobody go notice am or even feel am”…

you dey wine Nigerian football tray? players and goalkeepers full the tray oo
I respect Nwabali after DRC game. The guy was press resistant. Urging players on with the multitude of Congolese fans shouting down on him in that arena?
Una think it's easy? The guy has proved himself time without number! If not because of Moses Simon silly penalty miss..

Against Morocco, time and again!!
If not because of that Chukwueze miss.

Again for another 120mins with Egypt?

He knows his worth that's why he left SA PSL.

For now,Okoye doesn't have what it takes to match Nwabali's exploits in the last two AFCON
That's why him vex give reasons for his club not to allow him go. Both are not in good terms, I can tell you that for free.
Okoye prefers being a starter in Europe or elsewhere than start home games in Nigeria due to backlash.
Since 2021 afcon blunder, how many times have you seen him on home soil?

Papi85:
both defenders are not the same with different playing style and profile

Fernandez is more calm, press resistant and a lovely passer of the ball who can effortlessly bring out the ball from the defence to the midfield and attack. He is similar to greats like Hierro, Tony Adams, Ferdinand, Pique, Bonucci and currently Van Dyke

While Nwaiwu is a robust, hard tackling no nonsense CB who is willing to put his body on the line to defend a goal. He is similar to CB’s like Sktel, Vidic, Ramos,Terry,Chellini etc
Point of correction: Fernandez is NOT press resistant. Watch his first game.
He is error prone. BUT I can attest to the fact he has this soft flair and fluidity when with the ball and good offensively especially in a 352 formation.

If na Okoye do this one. Ieeeh.
The problem with Nwabali is over confidence but I think he's learning now. BTW, it's better to have a confident keeper than a shaky one.

Very Bias Nairaland thread
Okoye die hard fans= dont blame Okoye for that goal bla bla bla
Uzoho concedes same screamer and they will go blind of how the shot changed in its trajectory and wont even give Uzoho chance to explain him self🤣🤣
If that same long range shot beat Nwabali, just come and see how clamour for Okoye will arise almost immediately 🤣🤣.

I no dey take many die fans serious here again, there most loving player can never do wrong…they dont like to be challenged…..just challenge them and their die hard players and watch them call you hater(agenda must agend🤣)

Person play shot from almost midfield centre line traveling from Oshodi through Lekki and landing inside your net you dey tell me nonsense (trying to now blame Onuachu for giving the player time and space)….na em b say i fit wire hot shot from midfield during training make e beat Okoye b that(Okoye is an amazing keeper but man still has alot to learn abeg
I don tell una say that guy na Uzoho(2.0)
I dont know how to sugar coat words, I'm blunt.
Right from his first cap against Brazil na that time I know say the guy no too gell.
He has a problem with positioning( watch that corner-kick 6mins into the game) and most of his saves na by luck.
Against Russia, the same lucky feat.

That Fernandez nor good o. Nwaiwu better pass am by far.
He is decent. His style of play is offensive rather than defensive CB. It depends on the kind of formation a coach wants to play maybe 3-5-2 suits him better.
Defensively Nwaiwu is better; he can track, mark and not prone to unnecessary mistakes unlike Fernandez.

Come to think of it. I cant remember why aina didn't make the team for 2018 world cup. Was he injured then?
No dey swapped his place for Echiejile. The guy tell NFF he wan retire make dem allow am play for WC, so Rohr had no option than to gree and being Aina had not impressed him in friendly games especially against DRC we went Draw. The goal came from his wing. The same tactics of goal he allowed Adringa score us in Ivory Coast.
