General Sani Abacha's military government sentenced Obasanjo to 30 years in prison on coup charges. But due to the sudden death of Abacha, Obasanjo spent just 3 years in prison.

His lucky 3-year jail term was served in prisons in Yola and Lagos (Kirikiri).

Obasanjo's stay in Yola prison coincided with the time the military government banned pastors from visiting prisons because some pastors helped prisoners escape.

With government restriction on evangelism by pastors from outside the prison, Obasanjo became a prisoner pastor. He organized prison fellowships and preached to prisoners every week.

This was how he met a hardened criminal and armed robber named Baba Ali, who was a well-known notoriously merciless armed robber in several parts of northern Nigeria.

Baba Ali was converted.

2 years after he left prison and became the President, Baba Ali was released from the prison as a born again Christian. He linked up with Obasanjo in Aso Rock and Obasanjo enrolled him in a seminary to become a pastor.

After Bible school, Baba Ali became a pastor in a Baptist denomination and also converted his own younger brother.

Giulia Tofana (also spelled Toffana, Tophana) was an Italian professional poison€r. She sold a pois0n called Aqua Tofana (supposedly invented by Teofania di Adamo who may have been Giulia's mother) to women who wanted to murd£r their husbands.
According to one version of events, Giulia Tofana fled to Rome and set up a pois0ning ring that began to sell this pois0n to women who wanted to escape abusiv€ or inconvenient spouses. There may have been 6 women in this poisoning active in the 1650s, including Girolama Spara, who took over after Giulia's d£ath.
The d£adly poison Aqua Tofana came in a pretty bottle. It was colorless, odorless, and tasteless. And for almost 20 years in 17th-century Italy, hundreds of women used it to stealthily k1ll their husbands.
Giulia confessed to k1lling over 600 men from 1633-1651 in Rome alone, though that number could be lower (or higher) given that her confession came under duress.
Her pois0n was a best seller during the sales.
