Acidic water has a larger number of hydrogen(H+) ions than hydroxyl ions(OH-)
Alkaline water has more OH- anions and consequently, it has more oxygen than neutral water. Hence alkaline water is called

oxygen rich water. Alkaline water has abundant amount of hydroxyl ions that neutralizes acid hydrogen ions to reduce

accumulated acid waste.
